I wrote the instructions up and posted them for use. Fairly easy to convert and takes a small stunt foil to a whole new level. Stops on a dime and spins like there's no tomorrow. Instructions http://www.riffclown.com/kites/HQ2.2.4Conversion.pdf Stunt Flying Video, Same Kite -- Buggy Video

Designed by Ray and Jeanne Merry, the Ultrafoil range has gained a bigger brother - the Ultrafoil 30. This one is designed for 5 - 30 mph wind and I imagine it would generate some pretty decent pull in the upper wind range. I have the Ultrafoil 15 which is an excellent gopro kap rig that flies at a reasonably steep angle and is quite stable. This should make an excellent alternative to a HQ Flowform 2. Recommended line is 300lb and current price is $250 US. Available at IntoTheWind and Cobra Kites as well as the KAPshop.

A Bali Pirate ship kite? Yep. Cost you somewhere between $20 - $60 and flys in 5 - 10mph wind. A bit of fun for the kite festivals perhaps?

Want some fun on two lines? This looks impressive and by the looks of the video below, would easily power a buggy. Fabulous looking kite. Designed for winds from 3 knots to around 28 knots. Kite only is currently $489 AU, not a cheapie that's for sure but it does look a wicked bit of kit. Briskites has them here: HQ Fazer XXL You can also get the smaller Fazer And the medium Fazer XL Looks like the XXL has got a bit of power to it too..

G'day! I'm not only new to kite flying, but also new to Australia! I just migrated about a year and a half ago and I'm loving it! Last month I was buying groceries at Aldi and I noticed they where selling kites, they were mostly single line "kids" kites but I managed to find a twin line stunt kite, it's a "crane" (Aldi sells a lot of stuff from that brand) at around 8 dollars I couldn't see a reason why not to buy it. That weekend I decided to give it a go and it was a total failure, I thought for sure it was because it was a cheap kite that just didn't fly so I gave up on it. This past weekend I took my Son to the park and we flew a single line kite very e…

I am ok with 2-liner deltas and para kites, and getting them in the air. But I have bought a Revolution knock-off and I am having some trouble setting up and launching. Having got all the lines sorted (I assumed that each spool was for each side, whereas they had done the other thing ) I then tried to launch in various ways. This was in light winds (<5Kt) (1) As for a delta, have the kite sit on its spars, leaning back to hold it down. Problem. trying to move back down the lines toward the handle ends, the kite kept "walking" at me as even a sliught change of angle produced lift on one side or the otrher and as quick as I could be, that side would just inch…

Does any know where I can buy the Prisim 18 foot mini spectra flying line? All I can find in Aus is the 50# 50' line. This line appears thicker than the 50# 50' line that comes with the Prisim 4D and does not come with finger straps. The Pisim website stock the line but postage to Aus is over $30. Thanks in advance Gaz

Hi, I'm finally stepping up and purchasing a Rev SLE Standard. Wife has approved. Yay I'd prefer to purchase locally, but dont know if the Kite Shop still exists? it says they are in West Lakes, i thought that shop on military rd closed over a year ago. Obviously, Price point will be a factor ( I dont expect big discounts or price difference,). I noticed Briskites list at 329 but dont include lines. Kitepower list at 349 but dont mention if that includes lines or not. I suppose anything between $350 -$400 then for a Rev SLE 1.5? Anyone want to sell off a second hand one? Innie

Hi All Has anyone flown any of the Skydog stunt kites? I am looking for an inexpensive UL and liked the look of the Skydog Blackdog UL. It also won the KTAI best kite award in 2010 (if that means anything for kite fliers). Cheers cwstevens00

Hi All, I'm new here. So hi everyone! I was just about to finalise a purchase of a Jest of Eve Talon kite only to find that the website is no longer active What a bugger, it would seem I missed out by only a week or 2. Does anyone know if you can still purchase them new in Australia. BTW:- A wind of change will not ship to Australia, and the colours are crappy. Thanks a lot and have a nice day. Cheers

With lots of fine weather but nothing suitable to kiteboard or buggy, I've been going back to where it all started for me... Flying sport/stunt kites while listening to tunes through earphones. Anything from deltas and foils to Revs, the faster the better, depending on the music.

So I've had an EXP for a few years now and just recently purchased a vented SLE for higher winds. After assembling the SLE I stood it next to the EXP and they are exactly the same size. The bridle looks about the same too, although I haven't measured it. So my question is, what are the differences between the different rev models? Obviously there are different sized revs and the power series, but I'm more interested in the differences between the models with 91" leading edge. So EXP, SLE, B-series?

Hi everyone, Just chanced across your forum tonight. Just returned from Tom Groggin on the murray river and some great wind over the last few days. I'm based in Canberra and interested in getting into a bit more stunt kite flying. Any suggestions for contacts in the area and a decent kite for an average flier. Thanks

Hey, First of all, MERRY CHRISTMAS to all... About a year ago, I spent a small amount of $$$ in getting a cheap quad line kite from EBay... Now I want to look at something else.. Ive either been thinking of going back to a two line kite or possibly sticking with a quad line kite... After looking at BrisKites, Ive been thinking either the "Prism Quantum" or the "HQ Mojo"... Does anyone have any comments or suggestions? Im looking atm while BrisKites have a special price on the Quantum.. Havent seen a special price for the Mojo yet.. LOL... Thanks Adrian

Hey guys. A mate of mine is interested in getting a Rev after flying mine. He came across these rev kites on Ebay- they're from China. Any opinions on them? Should he buy American instead? Are they too cheap and crappy to be worth getting? What sorts of questions should he be asking the seller to verify that they won't fall apart after the first few flights? Hi, Over the past couple of weeks, I have become very interested in the idea of flying a Quad line kite... After doing lots of Googling, I have come across a lot of different ones & different manufacturers.. I'm not looking at spending a huge amount of $$$ at the moment (until I have learnt and maintain my interest. LOL). I have come across brand called "Freilein" with a specific one called the "Windrider". http://www.freilein.com/windrider/index.htm Has anyone heard or know anything about this brand or manufacturer? Any comments?
