Looking at the winds around hoylake over the coming weeks it seems they could hit up to 25-30knots!!! Could even the 2.4m sting be too much in that wind. Would a 1.2 be more appropriate? or indeed any other recomendations? The lines on the 2.4 snapped straight out the bag as per my other post - should i upgrade the 1.2 lines if i buy one?

I think its really unfair that i can't have my kitesurfing/boarding as part of my GCSE sport. Surely its well known enough now to be allowed on the curriculum (thanks for the spelling mum.. if its right)? Anyone have any idea how i could get it on there?

I have tried to click on severall people's links on here - like to Yahoo 7 or their personal site, but because here as been left wanting for so so long - nearly none of tese links work ( cos though yer we have a few bad summers for kiting ...... well bad years rather|), nobody posts par the odd vid link or so or any kind of event etc (like I am a Narrow Boat's kind of Guy - who loves Barges) on Waterways, but if we could get here going again - thi as a lurker on Barging Sites is what we need desperadoly here as storyies being told of our kiting adventurers/kite and their designs As good as it is talking of "random locations" that'll not sustain much interest…

Looking at Pansh's line-up, they offer kites at a very affordable price. Which of the models are worth getting? I was thinking about getting a larger kite for the low end winds and a 8 or 10 m for higher winds. Are the modifications necessary to enable them to fly well difficult to do?

It seems the old saying "Speed costs money. How fast do you want to spend?" is as relevant to kites as it was to cars and bikes. For those with the need for speed and the means to achieve it Ozone are happy to help with the release of the new Chrono V3. Too much for me on both fronts but I'm sure there are others on this forum that will be itching to get their hands on one. Details on https://ozonekites.com/products/water-kites/chrono-v3/ On a side-note, the Blizzard has vanished from the Ozone website even though a number of retailer's sites show it as "coming soon" with prices listed. The kite was announced by Ozone in October and it's still not available. Hav…

Well its here. The culmination of Pansh progress. http://www.panshkite.com/index.php?gOo=goods_details.dwt&goodsid=434&productname= Fingers crossed we get to see it soon! Personally i predict it to be another step in the right direction and a brilliant kite. The aurora2 and Cerberus are brilliant. This can only get better. Under £800 for a 18m. Yes please.

HQ are moving to closed cell for their new race kite. Looks like the aim is race performance with simplicity and ease of use. From the HQ website- The design of the “Freeracer” makes this kite the perfect tool for speed junkies. Maximum control and easy handling are very important when pilots experience the perfect speed kick during foiling, snowkite racing or buggy riding. One of the main goals of the development was to build an extremely user friendly kite, whose character is extremely good-natured and smooth. This means that even critical situations can be mastered perfectly with the “freeracer”. Pilots do not need any special training…

It looks like HQ Kites may soon be entering in the world of high aspect depower race kites with the Zeekai. It may be a weird name, but HQ traditionally make high quality kites, but at lower prices then the other big name manufactures, so it may shake things up a bit. In the Facebook video link below it looks to be open cell, but for use in the snow that wouldn't be a problem. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=817137398354701&id=220503688018078&refsrc=https%3A%2F%2Fm.facebook.com%2Fvideo.php&_rdr

I'm going to buy a kite to start in kitebuggy. I chose the Pansh because of the price being competitive. Between Blaze 5m and Flux 5m which would be the best choice?

Since last time, I have been on gumtree again and picked up some roller skates and a windsurfer. I've only been out on both these a few times so not that good yet. But soon I hope to get some Jedi like super powers. I have been practicing with the roller skates for a few months before trying the kite. There is also some action with my mountain board, rip surf, dirt surfer and dirt board. Since filming this, I've already stepped up the skills with the roller skates and windsurfer. So the next video will be a little more interesting trick wise. Bob2

Just a bit of info on how to make your own replacement arc spars on the cheap with a few bits from Bunnings. Making your own spars is handy if you want to keep the original compact spars in good condition for when you travel or if buying an arc 2nd hand it can be a lot cheaper to get it shipped without the spars. (I got a 15m charger shipped from Perth for $17 kite only, vs $120 with the spars and bag) materials: 3m length of 12mm round aluminium tube from Bunnings (https://www.bunnings.com.au/metal-mate-12-x-1mm-3m-aluminium-round-tube_p1079420) 4x 13mm chair leg end caps from Bunnings (https://www.bunnings.com.au/tic-13mm-round-black-plastic-externa…

Hi guys! I just got a new Pansh kite that comes with metal rings in each of the 5 line connectors...and the bar has simple knots ends as you can see in the picture. How should I do the connection? (I can take away the rings and do it as always but I guess the rings are meant for some improvement reason). Cheers!
