andy666
Ok, final tally 6m ✅, 8m✅, 11m s-arcs. Never flown. 12m✅, 16m (modified)✅, 18m (custom) ✅ f-arcs. 13m venom 2 ✅ 16m scorpion✅ 3m apex 3 9m ✅, 13m LEI 12m✅, 15m speed 3✅ Exp✅, 1.5 vented ✅ revs only missed a couple of kites, so I'm happy. we also had a bit of a spooky moment yesterday. There is a new guy from Rockhampton who has just started buggying and came down for a fly yesterday arvo. I thought the 2nd hand buggy he was riding looked farmiliar, so had a closer look and realised that it used to belong to the late, great Andyfly. So after passing through the hands of several owners the buggy had made it back to the very beach where Andy's ashes were scattered 5 years ago. @Goz got some photos of the buggy on the beach and I will let him tell the other twists of the story. Goz
Jeremy ( @westfire ) teaching Cathy to kite with a 7m FS Pulse and her first go in the buggy at Yeppoon yesterday. It was eventful first session in which Cathy managed her first powered downturn (by accident ) and shot up the beach at a fair speed, after firing the safety release on the kite she ended up in the kite with the buggy. No injuries to Cathy or the kite and we all had a good laugh. Full marks for giving it a good go on her second day out of kiting. westfire
Good going on the kite bike Gannet?? A big thankyou to Gozzy, for the photos & the loan of the kite, lots still to learn a few bruises for the experience. No harm done, so it was a good laugh had by all after the down loop! Having a great time up here in Yeppoon, heading home soon for another year. Went out to Great Keppel Island for a day trip, had a nice day there. Go back had a quick look around Mulambin & Kinka Beach, Cathy stayed at the caravan park there about 34 years ago though! Goz

Chook
Awesome day with great company. My run from the creek to the point took me 16 minutes with an average speed of 81.8kmh. Gannet had a cracking pace as well. Bit of a haul without any tacking to get back though. I had 5 runs over 92 kmh but hit the wall each time. Packed it in before I ran out of talent. gannet, Goz, Jase Shepperd and 4 others

Kind of over it now as it been four days on the 7m, would love a nice 13m or 18m day to give my hip a rest from the seat harness I'm not complaining, It's still better than been at work!
