I want to get there NOW!

stupid floods everywhere, fracking with my plans :threaten:

I've got the same problem.

My flight to Rocky is now going to Mackay then bus back to Rocky,  Saturday going to be a long slow day.

I should be on the sand Sunday, long as I can find some air for my wheels :)

No problem getting to Yeppoon through Rockhampton. Drove down to Gladstone and back today, new raised Highway seems to do the trick ;)

PS. How was that wind today @Chook ?

Jeez talk about the long way around  I would have thought they would go to Gladstone and then up to Rocky via Bus

@gannet They are doing free bus service from Gladstone Airport to Stocklands Rockhampton

Tell you what though the mosquitoes are as big as helicopters, buzzing around all night :D

Soooo many police and helicopters in Rockhampton at the moment.

Very light wind day today. So no kite flying really. I managed to launch the 18m f-arc, but I wouldn't say I got to "fly" it, so not tick for it.

The last few days on the beach.

Still havin' a ball.

Most days I'm managing to get to over 80kmh. This video is the roughest the beach has been since I've been here. 85.6kmh through the foam.

Fantastic to have Pete @gannet with us today. Welcome to Aus mate.

Where is that dry beach?

Good speed!....

Up past the creek heading north to Bangalee, to about where you were tacking on the foil @plummet The beaches are pretty dry now about an hour or so after high time. Just the soldier crab balls to slow us down.

Very light wind today so both using 19m2 kites. Andy on his heavily modified F-Ark and my Flysurfer "Silver Arrow".:Chook:

Very light wind today. Started at about 5 knots, but we both managed to get going on big kites. @Chook, was cruising with the big 19m silver arrow and I struggled to get going with the 1830 f-arc. The 5 knots we had slowest died over about an hour and by the end @Chook's flysurfer was running on pure apparent wind and hot air. I couldn't even feel a breeze on my face, but the flysurfer was still in the sky.

A few pics from this morning ;)

Hello everyone to everyone that knows & those who don't, hello as well???? I'll be heading up on Friday, have borrowed a buggy & bringing a bunch of kites & associated gear, unfortunately not staying at Driftwood this year? Due to a stuff up with work, was between departments & not sure if I was able to go. So there was very little accommodation left, be good to see some familiar faces, bring on the wind & those big wide beaches.

I was wearing crocs on the second day :)

Didn't bring the pink tutu over :( maybe next year

I'm a little concerned as I haven't seen anyone wearing a pink tutu over here yet!  Not even in Coles!  Strange breed them Aussies

But good fun all the same
