A great effort. That's the way we sail at Lefroy Joel "on the edge" or your taking up too much room. On 3 wheels it's very over rated.:dance3:

35-45 knot winds are pure heaven. Ben Ashby also did a fantastic job with the camera filming him from his 5.6 mini yacht too.:good:

I was camping 40kms away from Lake Lefroy last weekend and was dreaming about the boys having a crack on the salt.

Ben had previously taken the same kart to 108kmh 2 years ago. Bryan cracked 100 and I only managed 98.7kmh in it that day.

I now have built up a 5.5m2 storm sail, to give it a crack in a 5.6 mini class when all the planets align on Lefroy sometime in the future.

Top effort!!

Now how fast are the Blokart tyres rated to??

I don't think it's the rating on the rims that's the problem Nigel. It's the distinct lack of balls by the pilots that slows them down.

Lots of sour grapes over Bryan's efforts on "seabreeze",

http://www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Land-Yacht-Sailing/Blokarts/New-Blokart-World-Record-110kmh/

which is very poor form. (Nah it's not a Blokart because it has a couple of small bits of coreflute on the sides to keep the salt off the pilot and the genuine Blokart sail was trimmed down when it was repaired).  Also he wasn't wearing a gay face mask at the time of the speed record.;)

The naysayers need to put their balls where their mouth is flapping and go out and see how hard it is to achieve these speeds.

The time and effort this fella has dedicated to Blokarts, put into travelling and then sailing would simply scare them all.

Most of these "downers" (being polite here), have never been over 85 kmh in a blowie to know what they are talking about anyway.

He's my hero, regardless of all the bullshit they heap onto him!!! :good:

That's hilarious.  Trim the sail a little and add a little bit of coreflute and suddenly it's not a blokart.  Some of these guys have got some serious sticks up their ass.

It's seabreeze. I'm surprised that you're surprised :D

The haters can hate - isn't that just plain old simple jealousy?

H - Having
A - Anger
T - Towards
E - Everyone
R - Reaching
S - Success

Unfortunately it is the haters that but a sour taste in the mouth about Blokart's - I for one am embarrassed by their remarks and have considered ditching the blokart and learning to fly a kite, however I do enjoy pottering around with my little blowfly and have enjoyed every minute of "sailing" with the Extreme Kites group. Im the odd one out, but I'm looked out for - even when I do over take a couple of you in a strike of good luck in wind.

I am not in it for the competition  - just for the enjoyment, and one day, if I do grow a pair and try and match Bryan's speed, you can be sure I'd be adding coreflute guards as salt in unwanted places is not an option and my face will not be covered, it will be displayed with either :-

1. The most wide eye'd shit scared look,

or

2. The biggest smile that money can't buy.

If it looks like a duck, quakes like a duck, it must be a duck. Top effort. Great to see mods being added for safety and speed sake.  I'd stuff the class rules, he still has done a great effort with the blowie. It's a challenge between him and mother nature, doesn't really matter what the nay sayers say, has my respect.

Frikin Nuts, that looks like a wild run. :crazypilot::hatsoff:

Top Effort keeping it all together in those conditions and getting an awesome speed record.

Lucky he didn't end up with a bad case of salt rash on his dusters after that blow out. :D
