jhn.holgate Posted June 12, 2015 Author Report Posted June 12, 2015 Ok I'll make the odds 33! I have been trying to make some of these and after learning what it takes I now certainly appreciate ( and applaud!) the folks that do ... I would love to have a professionally made one, but like DanH, I'm not sure my better half would agree to MORE kites....! unless I was lucky enough to win one! Please include my name in the drawing... Thanks John and Borne Kites for this event! I think the odds have gone up a little.... Welcome to Ralph, Willf, vaultingbassist (is there a story behind that name?), oldkid, Jae & balloon. Good luck! Quote
volock Posted June 12, 2015 Report Posted June 12, 2015 Hi, I'm John. I'm in the dessert of New Mexico, which has sucky inland wind, but I work with what I have. Been flying for about 10 years, got on the water last year, otherwise it's been snow and mountainboard. Would love to try one of these out, never flown any NPW or similar before. Quote
Alystan Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 Hi Jeremy here, I am an avid kiteboarder and snowkiter. I would love to put my hand on one of these Nasa wing on the snow! Quote
dirtslide Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 Hi guys great to see that you are back. I would love to own that NPW. Make sure to pull my name. Quote
123matt Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 Hi, congratulations on the new look site. I'm based in sunny Wagga and if the winds on can be found out and about on either a kite with a mountain board, buggy or windsurfing on our lake. Wagga's not the windiest place so I recently have taken to flying a zero G. I'd be happy to try out a new NASA! Quote

jhn.holgate Posted June 13, 2015 Author Report Posted June 13, 2015 Bigkid, you're a little out of order on my list as I missed you at first glance. Guys (and Gals), keep an eye on my list and make sure you're names there (page 3) once you've posted. Might take a little while to appear if you post in the wee hours of the morning (my time) - I'll usually be updating the list around 8am Melbourne time and at various times during my day till 10.30pm or so. robinsonpr Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 I am a few thousand miles away in the UK. Don't see many Nasa Stars in this neck of the woods! I fly Peter Lynn arcs, a Flysurfer Peak, and also Rev stunt kites. Be great to win this baby and add it to the arsenal!! Mez 1 Quote

They're based in Jena, Germany and made in Poland. Somewhat closer to you than us or the U.S. where they seem to be gaining a bit of popularity. Welcome and good luck! Quote
Prawnstar076 Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 Cheers Prawnstar. Like the cover photo on your profile - nice. Thanks man - fyi - am sean, near brisbane. I am flying dual line tricks when the winds are right and flying team revs with a few other likely suspects on the gold coast and redcliffe way, when we organise ourselves (generally every other weekend and normally between 4 - 6 of us flying team stuff simply for the fun of it)...anyone in the area is welcome to join in with us Quote
MadNicko Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 I'm Nick, popping back onto the site as my favourite kiting season approaches and... Dang! That's a sexy kite! I think it would make my old prototype ozone jealous... Quote
jhn.holgate Posted June 13, 2015 Author Report Posted June 13, 2015 I think it would make my old prototype ozone jealous... My poor old Ozones are sadly neglected these days. (most of which are now in the for sale dept!) Thanks man - fyi - am sean, near brisbane. Come to think of it, we're probably a bit overdue for some stunt kite videos in general. Quote
Storm999 Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 Just posting to get in on the action. How would a nasa star fair as a snow kite? Quote
jhn.holgate Posted June 13, 2015 Author Report Posted June 13, 2015 (edited) Just posting to get in on the action. How would a nasa star fair as a snow kite? I've seen Steffen using them in the snow quite a bit. They're not lifty at all so I think you could forget jumping with them. There's also a couple guys using them in the Greenland challenge too. Speaking of the Greenland Challenge... Edited June 13, 2015 by jhn.holgate Quote
