It's CLOSED!!  Congratulations to windstruck.

To Celebrate the launching of the new Extreme Kites website

we're giving away a brand spanking new Born Kite Nasa Star 3, 3.2m!

In custom Extreme Kites colors with bar and lines included.

NS_3_backlit.thumb.jpg.0714ae4ab1007ff8a

The Nasa Star 3 is super easy to fly on the bar (you can convert it handles if you want), nothing to break if you nose dive it into the ground, super grunty and incredibly stable.  It makes a fabulous traction engine.

Many, many thanks to Born Kite (www.born-kite.de) for supplying us with this great prize.

Ok, so how do you enter?

easy, just put a reply in this thread.

Saying what?

You can post whatever you want, if you're new to the site, then I would encourage you to tell us a bit about yourself.  ie, if it was me, I might post something like:

Hi I'm John from Victoria, Australia.  I'm a buggyer who flies Nasa Stars, Ozone Access & Methods sometimes in my paddock and sometimes down at the local beach or a drive to Sandy Point.  Please put me in the draw!

OR,

Hi, I'm Vlad from Mongolia, I don't own any gear yet, but I really want to buggy and this looks like a great place to start.

Get the picture? - you can post a picture too if you want and I would encourage any new members to explore the site and become part of our wonderful community.

Once you're in the thread, you're name will go into a hat (might be a bucket!! - haven't got that far yet) and it will be a random draw.  Everyone will get the same chance to win.  I expect we'll run this for a month or so to give everyone heaps of time to enter.  I can do a video of the draw if you like, and if you've got any clever ideas on the random draw, let me know.

Comp will close on July 9th, 8pm AEST

Winner announced July 10th, 8pm AEST

What are you waiting for?  Get posting!!

Hi I'm Joel, and this is the first competition on Extreme Kites i've entered.
I fly mostly Flysurfer Speeds and as of late Peter Lynn Phantom2's, however i'm considering moving to Aldi Kites as they're frequently on discount :D

Hey I'm Randy and I have a NS2 5.5 M I've used for landboarding.  A new NS3 would be a perfect upgrade or addition to my NASA Airforce.

Wow!  I'd sure love to win this NASA Star 3!!  I'm Steve from Park City, UT, USA.  I'm primarily a buggyer but plan to start snow kiting this winter.  Please sign me up for the drawing, and thanks!

Sean @ssayre looks like you need some stuff sacks!

The more posts = more entries?

One entry per poster regardless of how many times you post.  Feel free to post multiple times, but this way, I think no-one gets disadvantaged. I hope to have many competitions in the future and I expect all will have different entry criteria.

Hi.  I'm Dave and I recently ended my Flysurfer addiction and am currently using inflatables for buggy, snow, land and now water. I like Slingshot and Liquid Force, but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Born kites -- primarily because of you and your videos, Mr. Holgate.

Cheers.

Hi, I'm Tiger and I have been playing around with power kites since since first buying two 10 foot Flexifoil stackers back in 1995. I took up Buggying three years ago and have progressed through a number of kites. I was fascinated to compare the NASA Star with my Flysurfer Peak 1 during the Kingston meet and reckon it would be a great addition to my kite quiver. :)

Thanks for the chance guys.

Cheers Born-kites, a very generous prise.

I manage to get to Yeppoon each Easter to catch up with the fellas and learn more about kiting.

I haunt the beaches and Pink Lake here buggying and love anything to do with kites.

Hi... Love the Upgrades guys, it all looks awesome... I just recently joined the Single skin revolution and am the first guy in the United States to own the Nasa Star 3's... I have a few in my quiver and would love to add the 3.2 m. I am into buggying and do 90% of my riding in the cruddy inland wind in parks and fields here in the Metro Atlanta area in the great state of Georgia... LOVING the Nasa's and am addicted for sure.

John, when are you ending entries and doing the drawing?

I'm thinking give it a month..... if we're still getting a lot of interest in a month's time, I may extend it a week or two if necessary.

By the way guys, (and hopefully some gals too) don't forget to visit your own profile page (click your avatar) and add whatever pics and info you'd like to.  Check mine out as an example.

Aldi kites the new must have ineveryones kite bag Nigel has too many to count and Alex likes them but not as much as his PL hype.

Hi my name is Norman, I fly fly Flysurfers, still have a Peter Line Arc, and some home made nasa foilds NPW5's. I use them for landboarding and kite surfing to feed my addiction of kiting. My son is also into the sport, has some of his own kites and the rest he borrows from me. Here is a picture of the 8m^2.NPW5 i built some years ago

I am sure the BornStar NASAs have improved since the NWP5's. A BornStart NASA would be perfect for a short line run on the skate board or for those gusty days up on Trugania Park .... or even turn a few heads kitesurfing --- yes I have seen it done!

Regards,

Norman

Hi, I'm Clark from Detroit, MI. There's some great kiting going on up here, but I discovered powerkiting through google and I believe I decided to buy my first kite, a Peter Lynn, based on a quedecree youtube video. I've only got one other kite, another Peter Lynn, and really want to branch out and try some more gear, flying styles, etc.

P.S. Come fly our Sleeping Bear Dunes or on Lake Michigan when it's frozen in the Winter. You'll have a blast.

Hello all my name is Jason, I live in Queensland Australia and I have only ever owned 3 kites since I started with kite sports back in 2009, I have a well used FS Speed, a nearly retired Cab nomad and a nice and shinny PL P2.

It was a hard decision between the P2 and a NASA Star but it would have been nice to get both.

Win or not it will surely be my next kite to purchase.

Hi, Im Mez - bringing a women's touch to the forum (not sure how many ladies are registered with Extreme Kites). Im a blokarter from Victoria (as I could not reach the steering bar of Doug's Peter Lynn Buggy) however, would love to find the right kite as when I can't kart along side the buggies, I'd still like to join in the action and have a kite in the air. All the best and god luck to everyone.
