  1. SOLD - pending funds
  2. I am Newcastle, NSW. Yep a good deal for someone wanting to get into it. Want to move this gear on as it has sat for close to 12months and not been used. Yep I can freight to adelaide. To the adelaide depot at Thebarton ~$60 (more expensive to your door).
  3. Hi All, Since my sea kayaking obsession I have little time for buggying (and kite flying general). I'd like to sell my buggy and kites prefferably as a package Early model Peter Lynn (pre mark I I think) - maybe one for a collector Has the original webbing seat but I have fitted out with a new peter lynn seat, padding and splash guard. Ozone Quatro 3.5 (comes with a stuff sack) Beamer III - 4m (comes with a stuff sack - also original bag - but the sides have pulled away from one of the zippers) Crossfire 2 - 2m (comes with the original bag in good condition) Good setup for a beginner moving from the quatro to the beamer and then onto the crossfire fror higher winds/higher speed buggying. All items in good to very good condition. (More photos when it stops raining) $600 ono. Shawn
  4. I have a new in the box Bern Watts watersports H2O helmet that I'd like to move on This is a nice watersports specfic version of the helmet that has clip in ear-cups and low sit on the head and wait for it "Brock foam" - google it. It complies to the CE 1385 standard specification for helmets for canoeing and watersports Its an XL szie - that is supposed to fit 59-60.5 cm noggins. I have a 60cm noggin and its uncomfortably tight - hence the sale. If you have a head that's sized 57-59cm it would fit perfect. A quick search on the net suggests these fit small - I wish I done a more thorough search before purchasing as it is a nice helmet Its brown and orange with a short peak - as per the pics Asking $80 posted
  5. Make sure my shots were all up to date. Locate the nearest all-night chemist. With those two things out of the road, only then you can plan your next steps.
  6. Afterburner An afterburner is often observed during a game of lawn darts when a participant has had a vindaloo the previous evening. May also be decribed as a "brown trousers flight", "turbulance down below", etc Shawn
  7. Lawndart (noun) What you are after being unexpectedly lifted from your (a) buggy, ( feet. A group or collective of the above is known as "a game of lawn darts" . Games of lawn darts often give cause to a ride in the "meat wagon" See also "airtime" and "kitmare" Shawn
  8. Hi Lance, I've only been buggying for 12months or so. I started with (and still have) a very early Peter lynn buggy and a 4m beamer III. Its a great setup for a beginer. The beamers are not lifty and provide plenty of pull in a wide range of winds. Good starter kite. And I agree with Peter, wait till your comfortable with your skills and setup before strapping yourself into a harness. I've just got a smaller kite for windier conditions and will be looking for a bigger one in the next couple of months for lighter conditions - not sure myself whether to go fixed bridle or depower. Something to ponder on anyway I'n terms of buggy I am looking now for something that offers much more lateral support . My back kills at the end of a long session in the peter lynn buggy. I just want to cruise - and not do maniac stuff like jumping and stuff so a bigger wider buggy will probably be where I go next. cheers, Shawn
  9. How about $250 posted to me in Newie? Cheers, Shawn

  12. Hmmm, most steel has carbon and manganese in it. The two most common alloying elements used (cuz there cheap and effective). Nothing special here and hardly a marketing point. It does look funky though.

  14. Its all about TV rights/coverage and $$. Everything comes 2nd to this. No doubt hes upset because the "world game" will take all the prime spots and viewer coverage/ratings. Supporters.... Think of yourselves as cashflow. (Nothing more, nothing less )

  22. A platoon of soldiers was marching north of Fallujah when they came upon an Iraqi terrorist, badly injured and unconscious. On the opposite side of the road was an Australian soldier in a similar but less serious state. The soldier was conscious and alert and as first aid was given to both men, the Platoon Leader asked the injured Australian what had happened. The soldier reported, 'I was heavily armed and moving north along the highway here, and coming south was a heavily armed insurgent.' We saw each other and both took cover in the ditches along the road. I yelled to him that Saddam Hussein was a miserable, lowlife scum bag who got what he deserved. He yelled back that Kevin Rudd is a bureaucratic, Good-for-nothing, left wing labour dickhead who knows bugger all about running the country.' 'So I said that Osama Bin Ladin dresses and acts like a frigid, mean-spirited lesbian!' He retaliated by yelling, 'Oh yeah? Well, so does Julia Gillard !' 'And, there we were, in the middle of the road, laughing, shaking hands, when a truck hit us.'
