    Haha, the only thing that is changing is the name. They have said in an interview I saw on Facebook that they own all the names and designs of all current north kites so for the customer nothing will change except the name. shit name though.

    Well there you go. I have a 9m boost 1 which I don’t have any problems with. But then again I don’t have a lot of experience with LEI’s. I have only ever flown my 9m boost and a 2012 PL Fury

    The price of most born kites is camparable to other single skin kites on the market, not significantly cheaper. But with the race star it seems they are charging a premium because they are the only single skin “race” kite available. A 7m RS is €200 more the a 7.5m LS (that’s a 40% premium) Does it look like there is that much extra bridling in the RS?? If they do eventually prove themselves to be called a race kite then the extra price is deserved. But I’m still yet to see a review where the RS is directly compared to a proper race kite (not “from memory, when I flew a race kite once) like an R1, sonic or vapor. Or even how does it directly compare to a non-race depower kite. Or a direct back to back comparison to its biggest (and cheaper) rival the Flysurfer Peak3.

    Wow, those prices are up there I thought born kites were supposed to be the more affordable option, but maybe since they are the only ones really producing a single skin “race” kite they are charging a premium. @BigTone and @plummet it will be interesting to get your feed back on the race star and see if they actually deserve the “race” part of their name ?

    Old cabrinha bar and lines I received with a 2nd hand kite purchase. very well used condition, but everything looks to be there. steering line safety connection, not front line. $30 plus postage

    For sale is an older style ozone bar and lines which I bought a few years ago as a spare and never used Used condition but fair condition. Should still have plenty of life left. bar is 55cm lines are approx. 24m $80 including free postage in Australia.

    i used to always run a dedicated bar for every kite and leave the lines connected all the time. But since buying a heap of 2nd hand kites without bars I’m now just swapping bars. Once you get used to running out and untwisting lines, it really doesn’t take that long. The longest time is spent checking and untangling bridles on foil kites. But if you can get a good system sorted of sticking the pigtails in the deflate vents, they shouldnt ever get tangled.

    It really was one of those perfect days today. The wind was light, but kite-able and we all had a great time, just cruising around for a few hours.
