But did you see the crowd for Rolf Harris!!! :D

.

Yeah we did, was at the Goan fish curry place to the right of the stage, went to the bar, watched from there then spent 40 minutes trying to get out of the Jazz field. His set was great :)

Back from holiday, shame I missed the BBQ, you guys had any good days with the warm weather?

I may be hitting the beach tomorrow morning. Anyone in warrington or liverpool is welcome to a lift. And I still don't drive which means I'm always looking for lifts.

See y'all soon.

Had a cracking day yesterday evening, pretty much had the beach to myself. Anyone know what wind speed it was in the evening? I can't remember the name of the landboarder who helped me, his smallest kite was a 15m guarilla 2

EDIT: talked to guy who has my KK's, will get sorted out soon :)

Argh, so sore...

I'm considering hitting the beach sunday morning, but the wind looks a bit strong, and as it's cross on and a little over the dunes so will be gusty as well. If the prediction drops by a few mph i will be going. High tide is at 3pm 26mph-30mph. All I've got is my 13m venom 2. What do you guys think. I'm free the rest of teh week, just can't get a lift.

EDIT: may go in the afternoon as the wind seems to drop off. at least according to the gusts on the second forecast on windguru...

No posts on here for a bit, have some people not made it over with the switch? :p

Hi guys,

I have not been on the landboard at Ainsdale for a while but went down the beach today to have a look. I flew a few kites and became hooked once again.

The question I have is, my 16 year old daughter who can fly two line kites would like to take up kitesurfing, she has no experience on water so how and possibly who can I contact to get her started.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Copied and saved, as I'll want to try myself one day.

If the person dosen't have a wetsuit, is that a problem? Would they have to try and borrow one for a day or two, or is there somewhere near where they could rent? Borrowing will be an issue for kids, larger riders or women.

I assume the instructor will generally supply the board and kite?

Then I'd suggest trying an ARC :p Good luck with whatever you fly.

Contact information for Jill [Gill] in first post, and if you just want to come down and say "hi" you don't need a permit to static fly. Or gossip.

And hopefully people will start posting on here when they are going down, like the good old days. Sadly I can't get a lift this week.
