well after completing GOW3 quiet quickly i've swapped it with a mate for BF3...fook me its hard, i find myself dying loads...good game though, just got to get used to it!

^^^^ no no way...i dont use my computer for that...defo not...all that free boob no chance............why......you know any good sites??? ;-) anyway, fixed now, used the reinstall disk and it repaired a missing driver, back to normal, although i do have a graphics card now sat on my desk!!

yep someone else mentioned cooking it...its now not recognised in safe mode in the device manager....before i go buy another one is there anything i can do to see if its working or not and that its defo the graphics card?

i've removed the graphics card and started it up with the onboard card and its fine...not sure what to do now...going to try and put the card back in.

the only thing could be is an windows update but dont think that would do it....it was working fine Wednesday night, switched it on yesterday and it had froze, now it wont even go to the log in page. Might try updating drivers in safe, networking mode.

Instead of dicking round trying to search on google i thought i'd try here: My PC has stopped loading up...it starts fine gets past windows logo and freezes on a black screen. I've started in safe mode and ran a virus scan with nothing showing I've also restored to last save point a few hours ago.....No luck Any ideas? The last time it was on it had froze and the screen had gone purple-ish. A graphics issue?? any help would be great.....tech team powers unite!! cheers Dan

Got a bit of burfday mullar floating round and some vouchers....not bought a new game for a bit so which one? I've heard MW3 is just an updated MW2 and not great....love MW2 I loved GW2 Never played BF3...love this type of game though! Need longevity, something i can keep coming back to....Xbox 360 Dan

I currently work at a univeristy and work with those looking/ thinking to apply to uni and those at uni (study & learning skills)...whilst working here im also doing a PGCE to teach at Uni so my 10pence worth.... - Agree with everyone, make sure its your decision and the right one...have a good think. - pick something you love...its the next 30+ years of your life make sure its soemthing you're passionate about - yes its expensive now but in the long run it may not be as bad as 9k+ a year looks....and actually similar to how its currently is. - if you do go into primary ed you'll be a valuable commodity...there's not many male primary teachers out there! - there is way more options after a psychology degree than just a 'psychologist'...have a good search...maybe educational psychology?? - Where the vast majority of students fail when going to uni is they waste their time there...it pisses me right off...and i work with the barstewards!!....they dont take advantage of the people, resources, networks that are there...they literally piss their degrees up the wall. good luck....to me from an outsiders point of view its sounds like teaching is something you may have a passion for....just make sure its for the right reasons and not because someone said 'you're good with kids...you should be a teacher!' if i can help with any questions let me know...good luck Dan

cheers DreaMT....ordered one....may well get another in the future and set up RAID (once i've got my head round it).... Out of curiosity how would people set up the new drive?? Im thinking all my photos and music will be transferred over to the new drive which will mean my original one will just handle programmes.
