Hi all, What time is ayone going tomorrow. Jeff
-
Hi Guys, Took a chance tonight from about 19:15, nobody else there but enough for me to put the 4m Blade up and get some traction. Wind was blowin across from about a Northerly so with my inexperience could only go one way on the landboard, but enjoyed it loads. Hows the hand Bobby, hopes its okay so you get on the water again, might get to meet you some time. I have just been looking at wetsuits. I already have a shortie, its only 2mm so I supose its how nesh you are. Anyway, I am off surfing and bodyboarding with my younger daughter in a week and half, goin to Abersoch, camping, then surfing at hells mouth so sea might still be bit cold so a full 3/2 sounds good to me. See you all soon. Jeff

Hi guys, Great photos Bobby, thats me admiring the bow tie, was trying to see if i had a shirt to co-ordinate. Actually, flying a 10m depower, cant wait to try more and get on the lagoon.

Hi guys, I am new to depower and eventually want to kitesurf as been on land using bars and fixed briddle. I am looking to buy a harness first, can anyone offer advice on what brand etc please. Thanks Jeff
-
Yes, was there from about 2 ish, in nissan note dark red. I was wearing some rather bright red, white and black shorts and grey hoodie. best of all was I finally tried a depower thanks to Mark. I always thought that these kites in wind like today were going to be to powerfull, how wrong I was and compared to handles it was so easy. Normally the fore arm muscles ache after a while on handles but not using depower, I am definately converted. I want to buy a harness first so at least I do not need to borrow, then I can possibly try other kites before purchase, can anyone recommend a good brand. Jeff

I will be down roughly abut 13:00 to try some depower kit. @ Bobby: when I was stuck nthis guy came up in his 4 x 4 and said " I will tow you out for fiver because the petrol is expensive in these things " hmmmmm matybe if he stopped driving up and down the beach he would save on petrol.

Just taken a chance and went to Ainsdale, no body there but I got stuck in the sand. Got out eventually but the clutch stinks. Not a good start for me. See you soon

Thanks guys, I will take you up on the offer if thats okay, will be down Ainsdale when the weather looks okay, as I said before only live in Formby so if weather is pants then not wasted any time or travel, I cant wait to try depower as I have always looked on when me and my little Beamer 2.5 struggled to get some traction. The Blade II 4.0m was actually my first ram air kite and I was gobsmacked by is power. The Firebee had problems with luffing but I did some research and adjusted the briddling to inrease LE angle of attack, seems to work but takes a fare bit of wind to get going but is now solid at the edge. I have used 4 line bars and felt quite comfortable with them. See you soon, thanks again for the offers. Jeff

Hi, Thanks Bobby, hope you get well soon. I currently have a beamer 7m, flexi 4m blade II, 3 m firebee and little ol 2.m beamer II, nothing depower or ARC like hence my concerns over budget. What kite is a good starter size, I have been looking at the best range, what do you think? Cheers

Hi, I will be down the beach this week with the old landboard and dated kites to get into the swing of things again however, I would love to get on the sea. The only problem being is, I have been doing some research on the internet and it looks a minefield and also expensive. Can anyone offer any advice please as to were I should start. Thanks in advance. Jeff

Cheers everyone for the advice. I will be down the beach very soon, only live in Formby so see you there. Only problem now is lack of confidence as not been on the ATB for a number of years. I wasn't all that good before as I kept stopping and could not seem to catch the wind enough, maybe some expert advice from someone who knows. See you soon. Jeff

Hello all, Not been down Ainsdale for a few years due to other commitments however I am ready now to enjoy landboarding again. I've got my insurance and pass and would like to join the AOSPKC however the link from the website appears broken. Can anyone give any idea as to how I can join please. Thanks Jeff
-
Thanks for the advice. I will try and make a few contacts and probably take a few trips to Ainsdale as we only live a few miles away.

Hi guys, I have not been on the landboard at Ainsdale for a while but went down the beach today to have a look. I flew a few kites and became hooked once again. The question I have is, my 16 year old daughter who can fly two line kites would like to take up kitesurfing, she has no experience on water so how and possibly who can I contact to get her started. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Jeff
