jdhot Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 Well guys it's that time of the year again when the beach winds return .... hopefully without the rain which has been a problem the last few years. Cronulla/Wanda beach great for SSE-Easterly winds, even southerly if you can buggy around the curve of the bay Bonnie Vale Beach - near Bundeena, ENE to NNE winds need good low tides for beach width Wyndang Beach again SSE to Easterly 7 MILE ... mmmmm 7 MILE .... light Southerly to NNE almost 180deg. So keep an eye on the wind and tides and post an adventures you maybe interested in there always plenty of keen followers. Cheers JD Quote
Tiger37 Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 Looking forward to getting out again John. Please keep me posted and I hope to join you at the beach. Away at the moment on another caravan adventure but back end of Nov! Quote

Tiger37 Posted December 10, 2017 Report Posted December 10, 2017 Sadly the weather prediction is little wind above 10 knots this coming weekend and not always in the right direction! What say we plan another weekend to meet? Quote

May be we have different versions of Willy Weather as mine predicts low tide at 4.30 on Sun with wind 9knots ENE. Let's make sure we get a date to get together in the New Year! Quote
Mfwetu Posted December 11, 2017 Report Posted December 11, 2017 @jdhot put us on to http://wx.theshackbythebeach.com/wx/wxindex.php which is probably the best check on conditions for 7-mile. For Sydney, seabreeze is pretty close to the mark most of the time. Can't do this weekend but I'll be at Urunga from 23rd till 31st if anybody wants to catch up for a fly on those l-o-o-n-g North coast beaches. Quote
jdhot Posted December 11, 2017 Author Report Posted December 11, 2017 Guys this is whats been happening in NSW for the last few years ... good tides, wind and rain ... however don't despear weather can change between now and Friday. I'm hoping so it's been nearly 12mths since my last buggy. Shack on the beach prediction "Partly cloudy with afternoon showers or thunderstorms. High 28C. Winds SSE at 15 to 30 km/h. Chance of rain 40%" Low tides is about 2.30, so beach is usable from 1pm Good wind direction and strength, just depends on how early the rain will come in ... I'm going to seriously watch it.
