trot Posted November 30, 2013 Report Posted November 30, 2013 Hi Gum-nuts , Thanks for the info Re- extensions Hopefully will see you and the boys tomorrow at the play ground. Trot Quote
gum-nuts Posted November 30, 2013 Author Report Posted November 30, 2013 Just got back from a couple of hours on the lake and it was... INSANE Wind was anything from 7 knots (kite floats gently to ground) to 22 knots (going sideways madly) and gusting all over the place. I also got completely soaked buggying from the car park going sideways through huge puddles! I loved it Quote
Clive Posted November 30, 2013 Report Posted November 30, 2013 You're lucky to have something so close 2 hr drive for me to most places.... Other than the unkiteable local football ovals Quote
gum-nuts Posted December 4, 2013 Author Report Posted December 4, 2013 Wife and daughters at dance rehearsals all day Saturday and Sunday morning guess where I'm heading...? Winds looking decent... Buggy, buggy, buggy! May head out Friday as well, as I have a day off, depends how I go with Christmas shopping Quote
gum-nuts Posted December 6, 2013 Author Report Posted December 6, 2013 I'll be heading down about 9 - 9.30 tomorrow and maybe Sunday as well Quote
gum-nuts Posted December 7, 2013 Author Report Posted December 7, 2013 The first hour was hard work (I should have flown the Manta and not been lazy) but the wait was worth it as the wind came in as forecast. I stayed well out of the way of the toy planes... And went in every direction with the 6m Access - I loved it... I'm really getting a feel for the depowers now. Quote
gum-nuts Posted December 17, 2013 Author Report Posted December 17, 2013 Anybody got out recently? I'm hoping for Sunday, late morning and may see what's happening at work and try a couple of hours Friday arvo (but will have to see how the week progresses). It was too hot and too still over the weekend! Quote

gum-nuts Posted January 15, 2014 Author Report Posted January 15, 2014 Well the Lake Walyungup will be out of bounds from 18th - 27th January for the world Blokart Championships http://blokartworlds.com/ - I guess it would be good to go and see some of the action but I am away! Quote
gum-nuts Posted January 29, 2014 Author Report Posted January 29, 2014 The blokarts have moved on or almost, as there is still some stuff on the lake (did anybody go and see them?). I am going to head down there on Saturday morning... The winds increasing as the day progresses - but I am picking up the kids and the grand-parents from the airport in the arvo. Quote
gum-nuts Posted February 2, 2014 Author Report Posted February 2, 2014 I did get out yesterday morning for a few hours, first couple it was a bit slow and then whomp in came the wind. Used the kite line mount for the gopro and got some good footage, all edited and ready to upload on vimeo - but have to wait until Thursday! Had a chat to a ranger from the parks dept, it's essential we stay in the designated area when buggying on the lake, though this does mean sharing with the toy planes and land yachts. I think they are keeping a close eye after the recent blokart worlds. Quote
Bones Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 So where is the designated area? More importantly, where are we supposed to find out where it is? Quote
gum-nuts Posted February 3, 2014 Author Report Posted February 3, 2014 Basically the area the land yachts use, I've seen a plan recently I will see if I can find it... Quote
gum-nuts Posted February 3, 2014 Author Report Posted February 3, 2014 I was on the part East of the area marked out of the way of the toy planes, the ranger was fine but just wanted us all to be aware and ensure we were in the designated area. Quote
Chook Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 Toyota car key found at the lake today, anybody know who it might belong to? Is this yours guys? It was forwarded by email to me, through the "Blokart news". Quote
