Hi boys trot here, Went out for a ride on friday 10th only put the small kite up as was a bit gusty and want to get my turns cleaner and quicker had great fun winds 18-22ks speed in the bug 48ks i'm pleased with that. posting a bit of footage up watch for the OBE at the end. Trot

Hi thrill seekers, I'm based in WA and am looking for a Peter Lynn Big foot XR 1.4 extended axle for my bug. currently have a 1mtr standard but would like something a bit wider for stability.If with in a 100 ks of perth am happy to pick up in interstate will arrange post. You mentioned that I might need a longer bug. I see different bugs but which bugs are good and which are not so good re adjustment and are certain bugs designed for certain pursuits i.e. speed , jumps , drifting etc. Trot

When i say twitchy the rear skips left & right and any adjustment in steering causes fishtailing. Trot

A big thanks for all the advise. I'm checking the straightness of the axle this morning. Will also look at getting a second axle or i like clives idea of an adjustable axle. I'll also need to adjust my seat more towards the axle to increase the load ratio over the axle. Big thanks Dudes Have a good safe break. Trot

Hi thrill seekers, Advise on axles for buggies. Was out the other day buggying . Wind from 18 - 35ks @SSW. Put my small 4mtr hornet up. Speeds from 30 - 40 +kph. Top speed for the arvo was 43.5 ks. What i did notice was that a 40kph my buggy started to get skittish / Twitchy . My wheels are a PL brought ten yrs ago, standard front but with a custom rear axle. my weight then was 115kg, and today the same115kg.So the axles specs are wheel / wheel (inside of tyre) 30mm stepping up to 40mm( The stepping from 30-40 mm in length = 100mm). The total length of the axle minus wheels is 1.11mts. Q: if i increased my axle length say to 1.4mts would the skittishness settle -or not? Trot

Hi boys, Trot here . Was at the lake on tuesday but no wind . Yesterday was very good, Wind from 18 - 35ks @SSW. Theres a film crew on the lake at present but plenty of room. Hi gum-nuts, Just wanted to ask about the side rail extensions you had made for your buggy. Did you get the work done locally or did you go to a speciality shop and second what length were your extensions. Trot

Hi guys , Good day t the playground 16 / 18 k winds east so got some good runs in in my last run of the day went from the very top of the lake to the carpark at 35k just about the entire length . Brought a new etrex 10, hands down better than the magellan 600 and it was only $70 , So can now keep a track of kite size, wind speed and max and average speeds. Very pleased with it.
