.Joel Posted March 1, 2010 Author Report Posted March 1, 2010 But the problem for Joel is that I'm usually right. Quite the contrary, I have become a custom to your bullshit doom and gloom forecasts because you're consistently incorrect The weather forecasts for Sandy Point that you should be looking at is not the Melbourne forecasts, it's this one here instead: http://www.extremekites.com.au/weather. ... ICSTHGIPPS Regards, .Joel Quote
nigel Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Well only time will tell Joel, if the BOM are right, or your EK forecast? I make no predictions, just go with the BOM, they are right most of the time. Now the question arrises Joel, from where do the EK forecasts come from?? Not from the BOM, otherwise they would match. Saturday: BOM says NW'ers. EK forecasters say SW'ers. Who's going to have egg on their face come Saturday morning??? The BOM or the EK forecasters?? Quote
Oooo Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 i'd have to agree with joel !! but when jas and i came down for speed week that is the one we looked at as jas orginaly comes from down that way inside info helped but didnt help with what realy happened like not enough or quite the right direction !!! wish i was there again Quote
.Joel Posted March 2, 2010 Author Report Posted March 2, 2010 Now the question arrises Joel, from where do the EK forecasts come from?? Not from the BOM, otherwise they would match. In future if you don't know it's probably better not asking a question then trying to be a smartarse by answering your own question as you just dipped your head in to a bucket full of egg, shit and semen. Our data for Gippsland is from BOM. Regards, .Joel Quote

.Joel Posted March 2, 2010 Author Report Posted March 2, 2010 Jesus, that's a bit harsh. Not at all, i'm following it up with an abusive phone call as well. Forums are a sport. Welcome to Labour day. Regards, .Joel Quote
SoutherlyBuster Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Well I like Joel's prediction much better. Since it comes from the BOM, that gives it more credability. Going kiting and hoping for the conditions to be right is a bit like bushwalking, no sence umming and ahhhing and complaining yes but what if. Just turn up and make the best of what mother nature has to offer on the day. Zachary and I only have two days when we could go, the Saturday or the Monday. Looking the EK prediction, Saturday looks the best. Norman Quote
nigel Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 That's why Joel has his own little castle (house) at Sandy Point. The shines out of his....... He's put the PL boys and groupies in one house, and I suspect that any one who flies a Cabrina gets his complete distain and the accomodation will match. Will find out which shed they were put into. My ears are still burning from the verbel diarea that the phone uttered in a "conversation" that Joel had with me. While I was "Enlightened" about the weather forecast system. Interestingly, it's all from the BOM. The forecast is from 20.8km SW of Sandy Point. So Joel goes offshore for the report, and yet I think it hasn't factored in the effect of the Tsunami from Chile into the eqaution. I really don't want to know what you keep in your new van Joel , ask JSKG about buckets, she should be able to help there. Quote
koma Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Jeesh, play nice fella's!I like the XK forecast much more than some other forecasts... specifically the ones that are made by using a dart board. Quote
kraut Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 I really don't want to know what you keep in your new van Joel Judging by its appearance, I'd say 600 rump steaks and 20kg of mince! Quote
.Joel Posted March 2, 2010 Author Report Posted March 2, 2010 and I suspect that any one who flies a Cabrina gets his complete distain and the accomodation will match. There you go again, dipping your head in to that bucket of egg, shit and semen a second time. Anyone who flys Cabrinha we didn't take their booking and yet I think it hasn't factored in the effect of the Tsunami from Chile into the eqaution. The only Tsunami is the gunge spilling out the sides of the bucket as you dip in el-presedente. Regards, .Joel Quote

.Joel Posted March 2, 2010 Author Report Posted March 2, 2010 Judging by its appearance, I'd say 600 rump steaks and 20kg of mince! 2x KFC Fillets Boxes 1x Roadside Kebab 1x Mcdonalds Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal 1x can of V ... and it's only Lunch time If only kites were edible.... jhn.holgate Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Actually, it gives me some heart that the BOM forecast is absolute pox for the weekend. This far out, they're more often wrong than right. sometimes I think they couldn't forecast what they were going to have for breakfast. Quote

sinbad Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Ok who is taking side bets, put me in for $10 Will it be Nigel with his Bom weather report, or Joel with his Bom XK report. Looks like the fun has begun, just for the newbies this type of bantering always goes on.(they are really) They finish up on the beach chasing each other with buggy's and javelins Quote

Saturday's is still way different from the rest of the state. Thanks, I nearly forgot the javelins. 2.2kg of solid steel bull's horns for front forks.... check. Several meters of wheel entangling rope..... check. Tandem with passanger to use paint ball guns.... check. Wheel spikes....off now to get some. Quote
KiwiBug Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 Dont forget to bring the dive bombing plovers! Quote
Prawno Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 Haha, monday and tuesday look like they are going to go off! I might actually get to put the old shopping bag of a 2m flow to good use in that. I, like mr holgate, have so little faith in the BOM even for next day weather predictions that ill just take it as it comes and certainly pay very little attention to what they are saying. Quote
