  1. Great job man, very tidy looking.
  2. Nice one, looks sweet. Are the coloured blobs vinyl stickers?
  3. Brand new T3s are the best tyres I've ever used for grip on wet grass. They do wear quickly if you tend to do lots of sliding though!
  4. You got my best side there Mr Frog! Stellar vid, awesome weekends flying....
  5. EKS rocked this weekend! Thanks for having us and laying on such epic wind. Cheers Gabe
  6. I can vouch for the boot polish method, it works amazingly well. I was given a demo by the man himself and it has the (over 5 years old) deck on my wasp board looking better than new, amazing!
  7. I've recently discovered Adam Curtis' many excellent documentary series and he happens to have a new 3-parter airing now. BBC iPlayer - All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace: Love and Power They deal with some amazingly complex and fascinating (at least to me!) issues, people and historical events, as well as the structures and patterns in society, economics and the media, Definitely mind expanding stuff. If any of that appeals, Pandora's Box from 1992 is also well worth a watch and the insight into the history of the early nuclear power industry is very relevant following Fukishima. On a different note, if you haven't already come across it then you must check out Carl Sagan's Cosmos - it is effectively the original Wonders of the Universe, and whilst a few years old (from the late 70s!) it stands up so well today; Sagan is one of my heroes, and is just a pleasure to watch and listen to, putting all his passion and humanity into this wonderful series. Vangelis provides the soundtrack too... [video=youtube;_3NAW1U-swc]
  8. Stopsley in Luton. Stopsley Flyers - Home All the info you need is on the site and the forum - join up to see what we are up to. If you intend to be a regular visitor you'll need to join the club (£25) and you must also have insurance. Its a great site, clean winds for inland as its on top of a hill and plenty of boarders and buggiers to learn from. Cheers Gabe
  9. I use graphite (ie. a soft pencil!) rubbed on the zip from time to time as a dry lubricant.
  10. Stopsley works well in all directions, but southwesterlys are better in general because you have the extra oomph from the wind coming up the hill. You get some wind shadow from the leisure centre building in an easterly but there is plenty of space to avoid it. Cheers Gabe More info: http://www.stopsleyflyers.co.uk/
  11. Don't be scared off from Stopsley by the fearmongering above! It is a great flying site and we are a good bunch of experienced kiters. Luton may be pretty far from the bright centre of anywhere but the field is a great place to fly, at least when it has a chance to drain, its a bit of a bog at the moment!
  12. Epic, great job with the vid chaps. Less than 2 weeks and we'll be over there too, to say I'm excited would be an understatement!!
  13. 03 04 05 06 07 FX FYX 2010 FYX (minimal changes from the 09 I believe) 2011 Is that right?
  14. Yeah I'd second Noggin's advice, we were in France last summer and my bindings rubbed and gave me a nasty little blister on my next-to-little toe. Put one of those plasters on every other day and they dud the trick, very effective.

  16. Now I have an image of a custard covered Yeti in my head!
  17. Sticky the Pimp Board Thread and the Board Speeds thread over in landboarding already.
  18. Hi guys, another late addition to your thread! I am based in St Albans, and have been a member of the Stopsley (Luton) crew for a few years now. Check out the site and the forum here; Stopsley Flyers - Home. We are a friendly crowd with plenty of experienced kiters and it would be great to see some new faces some time! Cheers Gabe
  19. Has anyone posted this up? Tagged Trampas on Facebook (sorry non facebookers)! Several funky designs that haven't made it into this thread before, lots of weird and wonderful downhill boards too.
  20. They don't fold though, that's the downside!
