JohnDave Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 Muslin bag is ideal, though I reckon a stocking would do the trick. Anything fine mesh will do. See you tomorrow.

Madragonn Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 That is mint! Thanks matt theres only the problem of the Sefton server overloading now... and theres more wind meter improvements to come -hopefully a tide table if a source is aquired -time since last update -display if the weatherstation has crashed.

brassneck Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 BRS looks tempting.. but going to stick to a well earned morning 'cold one' down the dale. looks x-shore.. anyone else going down??

PaulLaurie Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 is anyone going over tomorow? wind looks ok but is coming from the east, ive never flown at ainsdale when its from that direction. is it very gusty and can anyone recomend anywhere else when it is coming from that direction??? (dont say the east coast ) Looking more Southerly today till dark anyway. When it is from the east it's gusty and lumpy, bit horrible usually. Middleton Sands is ok as it's so big it has chance to settle a little as no dunes. Only doable after a period of a few days low tides, as it happens should be ok now. Check morcombe tides as pretty nearby.
SandMonster Posted November 17, 2007 Author Report Posted November 17, 2007 Didn't go BRS in the end...forecast & rain radar showing heavy rain all day so after a last minute change of plan, guess where we went...?
gravyboat Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 LOL anyone fancy middleton sands or the dale tomorow then? i had a bit of work on tomorow but they canclled till next week! free all day, whoooo!
PaulLaurie Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Anyone get out today? Rain beat us into a lazy day
danmon81 Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 I found some gloves on the beach on Saturday....if there yours PM me...explaining/ describing them in detail and i'll get them back to you. Dan
eeyore Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 Just wondering how quick does pilling dry off? might be going this weekend
wurzel Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 how quick pilling dries depends on the height of the tide as well as the time and the general weather conditions. If there is no rain, 24 hrs can see it doable as long as the tide is below 8.8 at high.If you want you can ring alex at hangtime wed through till sunday(01253 870000) and he'll happily let you know how things are:)
carltb Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 nice 1 luke i should be there around 10ish
