D1ckhead :p

That's a double D'oh! No beach, and a big load of cash on a poxy carpet that'll never fly no matter how much you tweak it.

Shame the wind was off angle but a cool day - big thanks to Carl for showing me how to set up my G2, and thanks to Bobby for the words of encouragement.

When I get a wind that does not scare me so much maybe I will do a bit better?? :)

It is a big shock to go from a 3.5 foil that is dragging my buggy side ways to then fly an 11m that is trying to lift me off the ground!!!

Off the ground and almost over the car park, was a close one when you first launched it Jon, glad all was ok though.

YESTERDAY..........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjJbxiBbJQs

Great vid Carl dude.

Best bits are that guy taking it easy peasy real nervous then coming off and getting dragged, and I think it was you getting hauled across the front of the camera - wipeouts are just the best - make me giggle loads - maybe not nice but sooo funny :D.

Oh yeh and another best bit - any pics of that cool 10m Venom .

Gold star mate for taking the time and trouble to put that wee movie together.

Roll on those warm 'n windy Summer workdays, on the beach for 5 and kiting till late :).

Just seen the vid of Friday -

- another cool effort - well done dude.

Those water boys in the second half make rotations look soo simple - just had the daughter laffing at me as I carbon copied it - giggle as much as they want, don't care cos my pirouette is gonna be perfect.

Josh's wipeouts were a giggle :D.

And a second half cheesey toon too, nice one, keep it up :).

picked up the booby prize today down on the sands.... couldnt make saturday so had to go for my fix today.. crappy winds , offshore, 10 - 30mph... still some fun to be had when it went nuclear on the 8m vortex... died off later to nowt, but still a fun day.....

question though....... a handfull of static people down , all kinds of things, being launched in all sorts of winds. Question.... do static people have to wear kite killers? saw many face plants , drags etc ...wrong kites being put up for the conditions. To be honest, apart from the usual brusing and look of horror all the thrills and spills were kept under control (just)... but you really did get the feeling that they were just hanging on because they had to. I know that some of the expereinced guys dont like using em, and its hard to say who should and who shouldnt.

god knows , I aint the best kiter in the world:o so IMHO the more safety / less accidents for you and for other people on the beach the better, especially when you are new at it. Dont think its a big deal when static flying to stick some kite killers on, especially when its blowing up a big one.

Anyway.. it was just a question / thought... especially with rangers being so keen at the moment.

ps.nice vid from sat carl... looked luurvley conditions.
