  1. It's all to do with the rake and trail, search for that topic on my website Basically yes of course you can push the front end out with plates, but the further you push it out the harder it will be to turn. Think of a dragster or chopper great in a straight line, but not so great at turning. For a Bigfoot wheel off the top of my head I believe 100-120mm of trail is the perfect set up.... This is determined by the angle of your fork, I had mine set at 65 degrees, like I said its explained more on my website, it's awkward answering on my phone
  2. It's much quicker easier and where everyone is, that's why we use it, forums and tbh a lot of websites are barely used these days, most buisness use FB too, that's where there customers are. Such a powerful tool like it or loathe it, it's as intrusive or as private as you want it to be
  3. Kitebuggy and Facebook – popeyethewelder.com
  4. Most people use Facebook now, there are plenty of kite buggying groups including UK locations on there to help you
  5. Cracking job Stafford, tvrgreg, you probably just sand blasted your stainless, the sand was highly likely to be contaminated with carbon.....massive mistake, the proper way to get a satin finish on stainless is with ceramic bead blasting, used ONLY on stainless, that way no contamination, and little surface rust....the smoother or shinier the stainless, the less it will be effected by rust, as there is nothing for the salt water to cling onto
  6. Nice one Jim thanks for posting
  7. Hi buddy, if you are going to go down this route go for a HF TIG inverter around the 160 amp range Beware though because it won't end there a full size bottle of argon from BOC will cost around £120 then to rent the bottle it comes in costs around the same per year. Try a website called welduk for your inverter they are really helpful. If you need any plate work I have loads here but knowing our luck not the ones you need, but worth asking, I am winding buggy making up soon, and will just be doing mods and repairs and so on, it may be worth a trip to mine to see what I have that you may make use of, especially buggy jigs ect
  8. Hi Guys, not sure if you are interested, but over the years as I kept all the kite buggy records, many times I was asked to collate the Landboard records also....well I can now allocate time to this task. I have copied most of your records from above, I have also credited Akkrew Rider for keeping this together. The World Record was recently broken, so I thought now was a good enough time to start. I have also included a basic set of rule/criteria, should you want to claim Bragging Rights to a World Record, I am sure you will agree once you get to that level, everyone including the existing record holder wants and needs the record to be accurate. I have taken the rules from the Kite Buggying rules and adapted them to suit, they are not complicated, and are there for your own safety as well as removing any doubt what so ever over a WR claim. If you see your name on the list and I have any info wrong please let me know and I will correct this asap, I could also do with the country of the Landboarder, perhaps someone can email me a list of any countries that I have missed for the boarders or are not there. I pride myself on keeping a very up to date set of kite buggying and now boarding records, and also in the interest of everyone accurate, please do not submit a WR without the criteria met....its not fair on me or your peers. Of course 99.99% of you will never attempt a WR so the criteria is not important, if you cheat you are only cheating yourself, just a quick message to me with the details and if possibly a photo of the GPS is fine popeyethewelder@gmail.com will ensure it gets to me , don't just post on a forum or Facebook as I could miss this. Right then, I am sure the Kite Landboarding records will continue to grow, please also bare in mind, I do all this voluntary, it takes a great deal of my spare time and I am constantly updating records from around the world on a daily basis KITE LANDBORDING RECORDS
