snowey Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Bloody hell, Pete - which way do you go? Just allowing for stops whilst you get out and feck around with a big spanner??
JohnDave Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Just the one day for me, got some catching up to do with the missus Bring her to the beach :D At least 7 hours to chat whilst driving :D Or is it not that sort of catching up?? ;) If I threatened to bring her to a cold windy beach in Feburary, she'd put me on the next plane back to Spain. Mamaged to get it prioritised though, Friday fly home, Saturday at the beach then Sunday with SWMBO:cool:
nolan Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Just allowing for stops whilst you get out and feck around with a big spanner?? Yes, I do suffer with my bladder, but thanks for the compliment mate.
Match Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Just allowing for stops whilst you get out and feck around with a big spanner?? Yes, I do suffer with my bladder, but thanks for the compliment mate. I think he was refering to Nic
Hippy Tim Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Are people planning for just Saturday? My thought was come Sat afternoon, stay over, come back after dark on Sunday. Are you guys suggesting camping or luxury accomodation? Still seems a bit early in the year to be under canvas. metoffice.gov.uk is suggesting "some sleet and snow" for Saturday at the mo. Or is that just my wussy southern roots showing me up again?
JohnDave Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Or is that just my wussy southern roots showing me up again? Time to get the hair dye out Lift going Saturday if you want it
Match Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 If it's just a Saturday run I'll probably give a miss, I'll have the dog and end up with 2 hours flying for 5 hours driving. May do Fraisy with the lovely Dee on Sunday if anyone fancies it???
brassneck Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 just look at those wind directions for sat/sun........ you plan on BRS and then it looks like its gonna turn easterly! grrrrr:(
JohnDave Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 The wind predictions will twist and turn hour by hour, just to keep you on your toes. The current SE predictions are Good for BRS, but if it spins more E then maybe head to Fraisey instead?
garykf Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 South Easterly is good.......blowing straight across from Harlech castle.....good for land and water:D
JohnDave Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Are you bringing your water kit Gary? If so I'll bring mine, would be good to get out on the water too.
SandMonster Posted February 6, 2007 Author Report Posted February 6, 2007 lol...looks like a 'keep it flexible' weekend then... takes me nearly as long to get to Fraisy as BRS.... are the tides good for Fraisy?
garykf Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Are you bringing your water kit Gary? If so I'll bring mine, would be good to get out on the water too. Yep.....new RRD Hyper Types and RRD 5x board:cool:
Match Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 lol...looks like a 'keep it flexible' weekend then... takes me nearly as long to get to Fraisy as BRS.... are the tides good for Fraisy? Low tide 3.30pm ish
JohnDave Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Are you bringing your water kit Gary? If so I'll bring mine, would be good to get out on the water too. Yep.....new RRD Hyper Types and RRD 5x board:cool: Cool, lets get really cold in the sea in the snow in Feburary then......
PaulLaurie Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 What are the Fraisy rules nowadays, do we need permits?
Match Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 No, just go no further north than the Kite Shack / Fairground, no further south than the stream at the end of the car park.
SandMonster Posted February 7, 2007 Author Report Posted February 7, 2007 Wind / weather depending (it's early days yet) I'm thinking of Sat BRS...Sun Fraisy... That way if Sat is good ...all well & good, might do Friasy sun too, whereas if I leave it just to Sun, might miss a good BRS day & Fraisy might be pants too...another 'dead rabbit' day...
carltb Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc=47846 sunday's looking best for brs. looks like it'll be southernly.
SandMonster Posted February 8, 2007 Author Report Posted February 8, 2007 it changes every time I look ...what we need is for someone to decide they are definitley going BRS then we can all go the other way...
JohnDave Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 As it's looking ATM I'm heading East for a 30mph battering. But I'd rather the wind swings southerly for some BRS fun. Guess it's wait and see the latest forecast Friday eve.
garykf Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 Fingers crossed for BRS.......low tide on the east side at 3.30pm not going to be much beach around for boarding until after midday:eek:
