kitebiatch Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 Hi all, I have been asked by Carl999 to advise all AOSPKC members that there is a new thread in the AOSPKC part of the BPKA forum. The post has been put up by carl999 and would be of interest to any members who wish to take a look, there is no need to complete the questionnaire it is purely for information. Please click >>> . For anyone who is not a AOSPKC member and thus cannot access the AOSPKC sub section you can join the club, it free with no obligation and you can download the membership form for free >> Please remeber valid insurance is required. Any one who is a member and can't gain access please email me on AOSPKC@hotmail.com or PM me... whichever is easier and I will advise Carl that you require access. CLUB NEWS There will be an informal AOSPKC club meeting in mid February, with the agenda as follows:- Impact of policy and procedure Safer Sands Report AGM date Training 2007 Events Carl will no longer be participating in this forum so i will confirm the date s of both the informal meeting and the AGM. Carl feels that he needs to continue moving forward with the BPKA and the continuing development of BPKA policy and procedures as well as the trauma first aid courses; thus will be standing down as club chairman at the next AGM so we will be looking to elect some new commitee members. He would also like to be clear that he is available as a volunteer to assist the AOSPKC at future events. Thanks Clare (AOSPKC membership secretary)

big-jon Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Is there a major difference between the G1 and G2? There is a cheap 15m G1 on ebay, Would a newbie like me be effected by any differences?
garykf Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Not really Jon. The G2's have a deflate zipper which aids packing away but in truth you would be hard pushed to notice any difference when flying them back to back. 15m good allrounder for winds up to the early 20s.

Match Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Bar and line quality may need looking at due to age Jon. Just be wary as it'll add a few quid if you need to replace them.
big-jon Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 cheers guys - the kite come with bar and lines so it seems good really
Match Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 I mean the age and standard of the bar and lines. If they are older/well used they may need replacing. Just enquire with the seller.

Saddleworth moor seems to have some but need a site to sledge on? This request is a serious one btw Having been back and forth across the pennines a few times in the last few days I know exactly where the snow is . It all fell around the stockport / glossop / north west peak district area. I know there's always people sledging as you head up the snake pass from glossop, through the national speed limit sign and round the sharp bend with a house on it, on the golf course on the right. Depends what falls before the weekend I guess. Have fun John
