airking Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 I actually bought my 10’s from someone on this forum, it must be 6 years ago now!! so not quite a newbie hehe. Not sure why it says Jul 03 and one post, been here longer than that and posted more than once! lol, ok I’m not the most prolific poster by any means but still… I tend to pop on here when I’ve been to Ainsdale to see if anything interesting is being said. I’ve flown a friends c-quad 4.2 a lot so have some experience with 4 line, just not got around to getting my own yet. I need to have a good read around to see what I should be getting. Anyway, maybe I'll see some of you down there sometime Cheers Paul
SandMonster Posted January 4, 2007 Author Report Posted January 4, 2007 I've lost my Mojo again There's a few reasons why. I know what they are and don't need to analyse them, but I do need to beat it a get it back. Need to get a good session or 2 in to regain the Mojo and herein lies the problem. No Mojo = No drive to go kite = No kiting = Reduced Mojo = Less drive = Less Mojo.... etc. Help!!!!!!!!!!! ...sounds like you are stuck in a viscous spiral of mojo-less-ness young Matthew... you need to: A) Have a bloody good Sh@g that blows your mind and makes you forget about kiting forever B)Get your ar5e down the beach this weekend - no excuses C) Get pi55ed and forget all about it D) Thank your lucky stars you've not been trapped in an office all week like us grown-ups:mad:

That's what I need! A fookin good session and get back to kiting for fun and for myself. I can feel it coming back now.... 6.5 BIV in a 15mph WNW . Kepp enjoying Carl, glad to hear others are still rockin' it. It isn't the weather or wet beach that keeps me away, with the right kit you can play out in anything. I've been covering about 50 miles of moorland a week with the dog, so I know how bad its been, today was an experience on Winter Hill
SandMonster Posted January 5, 2007 Author Report Posted January 5, 2007 B) Will do, can I have a play in someones buggy plz? You can borrow mine if I'm there the same time as you (& if you can reach the footpegs... )

PaulLaurie Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 9.02m lunch time high tide on sat....... is it worth the drive? will there be owt left to board on? or should I just drive to BRS.....! ohhhhh what to do...? There will be very little beach until at least an hour after high tide and if it's not got an N & W in the direction there won't be much to play on. It's a shame as I was thinking of driving to the beach and sitting in my car doing sod all for the 3rd time mind you I can do that regardless of tide or wind hehe.
brassneck Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 I get a free pass out for the weekend and the tides are all wrong ahh well, may pop down and try a king canute on the tide! probably just end up with a quick blasat down heaton park in between those 'little jobs' the missus always finds!......
carltb Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Carl does anyone every get their gaff tiled or are you always on the beach???? i try to fit my work around the weather forecast!!!!!!!! if its a westerly my van suddenly developes an engine problem!!!!!!!!!! lol
nolan Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 I'm hoping to squeeze a day in this weekend. Are people doing Saturday or Sunday?
Hippy Tim Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 I'm hoping to squeeze a day in this weekend. Are people doing Saturday or Sunday? I was wondering the same? Seems like years since I've flown a kite but now this weekend is looking like -Saturday: no beach, some rain, and a bit too much south in the wind. -Sunday, same with more rain. Might pop down tomorrow afternoon...
SandMonster Posted January 5, 2007 Author Report Posted January 5, 2007 yeah tides & weather are looking a bit pants...maybe sat afternoon is the best bet...
Hippy Tim Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 More beach and probably better wind at BRS but there's no way I'm getting up early enough to make that worth it.
nolan Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Saturday afternoon sounds good to me. I might try and get there early doors so I can have a blast before the tide.
SandMonster Posted January 6, 2007 Author Report Posted January 6, 2007 the rain radar is not looking good at the moment....am dithering at the moment...may go & look at guitars with Tom...
nolan Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 the rain radar is not looking good at the moment....am dithering at the moment... Same here. I don't want to do a tenner's worth of diesel in if I'm not gonna get to fly. Will leave it another hour then decide.
PaulLaurie Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Ive just phoned my Brother who lives 2 mile from beach and it's wet atm. Not bothering. P.S. Happy Birthday Rob, think it's today ??
nolan Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Thanks for the update. I might take the opportunity to sort the van out
garykf Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Anyone planning on being out tomorrow. Just got back from an epic week in cornwall and need a bit of a local fix (or BRS).
carltb Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 got a good few hours in today. the wind was abit hit and miss, but when it blew it was perfect for the 18m guerilla. the beach is still really wet but it didnt put a damper on the day. id rather a rock hard wet beach then a dry soft one anyday. franky i saw you snapping away at the end of the day, did you get any good shots?
snowey Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Well we managed to dam the river. Watched the rain. Played with Mark and Bens cars. Moaned about no wind. Had some lunch. Watched the rain again. Fixed the broken dam. Moaned about it being too wet and no wind. Then rain stopped, the sun came out and the wind picked up to a massive 13mph SW. Then it went dark so we all went home. But a couple of hours of fun was had and got some runs on the banks.
