Darren Tibbey
New kiting spot. Mt Riddle in Craigieburn. Great views of the whole city. Playgroung for your kids. Enough room for quite a few buggies and boards. Grass a little long at moment expect it to be better in warmer months. Heaps of room for single or duel. Plenty of parking, fly from the back of your car. 20170702_122937.mp4
DrWind
Hey Darren. Mr Riddle looks great. Was having too much fun to take many pics but here is one at least. It was a good day and a good turn out. A little light but certainly buggy-able. Jo Baker and .Joel
Jo Baker
I am going to declare this spot... "Best in Melb" there is just so much room for everyone... and clear winds from every direction... was a great afternoon of testing and sorting some new stuff.... Now how to get the council to build some toilets and put some rubbish bins around the place... and a road in would be nice...but pushing my luck there I think.... check out some video footage .Joel, nigel, Dingo and 1 other

Jo Baker
yes you must... we have so much stuff to sort out... Trent so enjoyed his first good power kite fly... needs some work on the buggy but come next year after he has finished his degree.. think he just may be hooked on the buggies... The Bakers might need another day to fly some more fresh second hand kites? Just keep an eye on the weather, and if Saturday or Sunday are looking good a week out, make a call. Darren Tibbey
Sat this weekend is looking ok. Interested anyone?
DrWind
I'd be up for it but am not so sure Saturday will be that great. I've found Northerlies are best. Southerlies seem to come off residential areas and are a bit gustier for that location. If it dries out after the rains on Friday and wind is moderate to strong and steady I'll consider it. Dingo
I suppose this is as good a spot as any to introduce myself and start getting active in this forum. My name is Ingo (yes, good friends do call me Dingo ) and I´m 54y old. I have just returned home after living in Germany for the last 27 years. I like flying my Stunt Kite quiet a bit but I am not very good at it as yet. I am very interessted in getting into Quad Line Kites, Parafoils and Buggies. I live in Edithvale so the Dingley Park is quiet close to me. Would love to meet up with some other Kite enthusiasts and get to know some of you out there. It would be great if a few people would post when they will be at the Dingley site next. Thanks and hope to catch up soon.
