having spent the last hour of my sickday going through this thread - thanks mick for pointing me here so i can see more mad kitespots brisbane doesn't have - looking at the pics & vids, feeling poorly and missing the beach & bug.

now you have yet another person wanting to come to your awesome looking spot.

Just uploading a video for the weekend.

I mounted a GoPro in the kite and filmed my self from above. Unfortunately the lens fogged over (I used the waterproof housing when I shouldn't have) and the majority of the footage is so foggy it isn't worth using but the first few minutes aren't too bad.

When I got back from the run I gave the kite to AndyFly to film some freestyle. I'd thought it could look really cool but unfortunately the lenses had completely fogged over and the footage isn't worth watching ):

I ran the footage through DeShaker and it's been 'zoomed in' to remove most of the boarders so the image gets a little grainy at points, and the whole lot was filmed through a thin buildup of fog but it's still kind of cool, at least I think it is (:

Must say Vimeo are fast going to be loosing my vote if they plan to stick to this "Must Pay for HD" carry on.

OK for those following this thread for information for the 2012 event, I'm putting in my vote for 26-29 January.

ie Australia Day Thursday until Sunday.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a group camping from the previous weekend (21st or 22nd) all the way through.

I've got my family booked into the caravan park from Sun 22 until Sat 28. I'll be driving to/from Canberra on the Sat/Sun.

The Chef, whomever that was hidden out the back but they did a great job on the Chicken with Seeded Mustard & Honey Sauce. Anyway....

I think we set the "actual dates" from the Australia Day until the Sunday, and then the "extended dates" can be from the weekend preceeding Australia Day to the weekend after Australia day. It gives those who can't get the whole time off a smaller window to aim for where we will all be there.

I think the fishing comp will be on the weekend before? If this is the case I may appear on the Sunday afternoon when it ends.
