Looks like a 10:30am Low Tide on the Saturday the 6th of March.....

moving to 11:20am on Sunday, 12:06pm Monday, 12:52pm Tuesday.

Pretty good timings really, just an early start needed on Saturday....

Currently attaching a $10 bike speedo to my buggy, will see how it goes.

Am counting the days, and looking forward to a nice big beach to play on (although presidents park to myself is great too...)

mmm 10 buck speedo where did you get one that cheap...

is it worth getting there b4 low tide and use a bit of the outward tide? this would make the day trips more worth while... that was my thinking anyway...

counting down the days....

It was an Aldi special.....even better you can set whatever circumference you have....

Wired one, but for that price who cares.

Am heading there on Thursday if you want me to look for another....

We were using the beach about 2hrs either side and it was fine. any further out and there are a few channels to dodge.....

Schweeeeet. I'm counting the days! :crazypilot:

Here's hoping i can landboard and buggy in the morning and then kitesurf the afternoon!

Definitely doing a downwinder this time from Waratah Bay or Walkerville so i'm hoping i can fit the surfboard in the car as well.

Low tides are for Waratah Bay:

Saturday 6th: 10.56am and 10.29pm

Sunday 7th : 11.37am and 11.48pm

Monday 8th: 12.17pm and (it's Tuesday with daylight savings time factored in) 12.27am

Tuesday 9th: 12.58pm If your hanging around?

The main beach can be used two hours before and after the low tide time, some times upto 5 hours in total can be done.

If the winds are good, that means we can use the main beach from about 9am on the Saturday (your getting up early Norm :P ).

And a Saturday twilight buggy from 8.30pm for the mad night nutters!! BYO glow sticks and torches!!

Don't forget that the inlet tide times will be later. Mother nature on the day sets these, so none will be listed.

Dude your car was packed last time, although you did have three people in it last time.....no picking up hitchhikers on the way!

Nope, last time i had two people in it but luggage for three. ;)

This time it's just two people plus luggage... so here's hoping i can fit the surf board in. :D

Do we have a plan for the 4 days ie any planned races etc?, or is it just free-kiting, :crazypilot:

I'll field this one for Joel...

1. RTFM

2. Remember the guide booklet that was there last time, and the time before that... well it'll probably be there again this time. ;)

3. Go fly a kite! :P

Fingers crossed the rains bugs out by the weekend!

Catch you there.

Ooh, i've also got a pair of shoes that i'll bring along!

... and a little rain never hurt anyone. Just means us inflato riders will have an advantage. :D

Thanks Koma :derisive: Yes hopefully you guys get better wind (other than the last day) this time round.

Oh this time we're set for water based activities. Joel's got his 19m Flysurfer Speed 3 which is good for me in ~9 knots and him in 11kn, at which point i can usually get my 15m Fuel in the air.

The initial forecasts are looking positive with a little bit of cloud and rain. Cloud and rain means fronts, which means wind! :D

Maybe you guys were at a different Sandy Point last time, but I got out kiting all days except 1 :D

Oh that's right.... ya'll played follow the leader and went down on the main beach on the two days we were screaming around the let, there was more room for us :upyours:

Regards,

.Joel

Just looked at the EK forecast and it's way different from the one I put up from the BOM.

I understand the EK one's of melbourne, so here's the BOM's Melbourne forecast:

Forecast for Saturday

Partly cloudy. Scattered showers and the chance of thunderstorms. Winds north to northwesterly averaging up to 35 km/h decreasing below 20 km/h during the evening.

CityFew showers.Min17Max23

Forecast for Sunday

Cloudy. Scattered showers and the chance of thunderstorms. Winds northwesterly averaging up to 30 km/h.

CityFew showers.Min14Max22

Forecast for Monday

Cloudy. Scattered showers. Winds west to southwesterly averaging up to 25 km/h increasing to up to 50 km/h during the afternoon.

CityShowers. Windy.Min14Max21

Again way different from EK's????

I'll be super pumped to Norm if the weather is as the EK listing, but only time will tell. :popcorm1:

Doing my buggy's to Prawno, the Libre's almost done, three newer bearings, and the PL gets a jazz up tomorrow. :good:

It's that time of year again when Nigel pulls a forecast out his ass and Joel appears hot on his heels telling him where to shove his forecast. It has happened the last 3 years running, I have a suspicious feeling this year will be no different.

PS: He's in the car apparently driving home, just for you Nigel :diablo:
