  1. Wow... talk about unresolved sexual tension! I am just itching to get my big balls out and film/shoot you two big hairy lads going at it. hahahaha. Oh yeah, depower is king! It can be a different story in the water. You can ride with so much power that it would be impossible to handle the kite on land unless it was a depower. Sometimes even then it can be too much. You do an assisted launch and someone holds you down while you get to the waters edge. You slip your feet into the pads, pull the power strap and then shoot off like a rocket. You send that mofo for all she's worth and yank on the bar..... casually you observe the curvature of the earth as you ponder the greatness of god as you float like an angel above all the mere mortals on fixed-bridles...... and so is the word of the schmik! hahahahaha mike
  2. I am soon to be selling my psycho3 8m. Price will be approx $1000. Being a Flysurfer it is EXPENSIVE. Probably above your price range but if you are keen then let me know. mike
  3. Saddest part is that our choices are disappearing. Now we won't have the choice to buy aussie made bonds. Probably won't have the choice to buy aussie made at all soon. Eventually there will be only k-mart and big-w and we will all have to shop there and they will both stock the same cheap crap. ANd it's all our fault because we didn't support aussie made in the first place. Capitalism works...... it gives us what we want .... it's just that the majority of us want cheap crap because that is what we can afford. It's very sad but true. Personally I think that this whole economic model is a load of shite.... if it worked then we wouldn't be bailing anyone out. I've already been told by my employer that in June "don't bother coming". They blamed it on the recession. Last quarter they still recorded 9% PROFIT GROWTH. Now we hear that they are just are hiring more staff overseas..... this takes the cake. Why lie? So what they decided to off-shore even more roles. It's part of work-life. But why blame the recession? Why lay off people in the recession? Dirty money grubbing CNUTS! rant over. mike
  4. Nope.......... no write up on the cover image. Not even photo credit. Seems powerkite can be a bunch of power****s. No replies to emails.... it's like dealing with a black hole. On the positive. We may be able to get a write up on mayday. If we get some good images and words. mike
  5. Hey... does anyone have a contact email for powerkite mag. I want to know where my copy is....... or if my subscription has lapsed. cheers mike
  6. It could happen. I have messed up a landing on a kiteloop in the past and copped the board in the face. I landed leaning back too much with a heap of power in the kite. My feet/board skipped out on front of me and the board came off my feet. I then got the board in the face. Resulted in a very bloody nose that hurt for 6 weeks. I probably slightly broke it but never got it checked out. OUCH. It was a very unlucky incident and i doubt it happens often. mike
  7. I'm in love with my zone! I had a couple of months of not riding it (because i had a brand new FLX 135 to play with) but no the zone is the 'go to' board again. Takes a while for your rear leg to come up to strength on a directional but it's worth the pain. Once you have it sorted out you can jump on a twinne and ride toeside like a pro! Oh.... and big jump, using waves as kickers, are unbeatable on a directional. They just look and feel so styled out! mike

  9. Weird stuff.....if you look at the first footage and watch the bar it doesn't look like you redirected that hard. mke
  10. Look at the higher res version on youtube, then look at that buggy bend on landing..... and flip and bounce. Oh yeah and poor Luke..... nice flip and bounce! Lucky your ok. One more thing; well done with the quick release on the kite. mike
  11. Hey.... that looks like a HQ NEO now! hahahahaha Yes, the 15 (and all my other flysurfers) get wet. Quite wet and quite often! mike
  12. Damn... that is some serious landboarding! Full respect to those lads. Going big on land is one thing, kiteloops are another. mike
  13. The tyres off the two wheeled trolleys (the ones removalists use) also work. I have tried them before. They are the same size as those but with a more aggressive tread. They roll over anything. I did find two problems though: 1. Weight 2. higher centre of gravity Yes they do go faster but damn the death wobbles are scary at top speed when you are that high up. I never got to try mine in the sand but they worked an absolute treat at Lake George when it was very very dry. PS. You could probably buy two blue trolleys from bunnings cheaper than 4 and tyres and tubes. mike
  14. Does that mean we can demo your shiny 8m PIV in the water.........

Nice! Makes me want to dust off the landboard and go and beat someone with it! mike
  16. Oh.... i feel sick. The thought of a 'thong off'. oh. no no no. I'm gonna go watch some pron to cleanse my mind. mike
  17. Yeah!!! Happy b'day Luke! Hope ya had a good one. Hope to catch up for a ride soon....... you take the one on the left, i'll take the one on the right. mike
  18. Never tried a 666 but have ridden a 555 in a couple of sizes (don't remember exactly but one was a 130 and the other was larger). I think that they are great all round boards. Great bottom end. I too found them a bit of an effort in the chop and i didn't like the pads/straps. I would say that it is a great all rounder except for teh chop handling. On the positive they are very light and hold an edge very well. I like the flex too but when i recently bought a new board i got an UG. The chop handling was superior. Then again... after trying the sync bindings i don't like the UG pads strap either. Boards are an addiction. I wish i could have 5 (or 10) mike
  19. A have found the smaller ones better too. Something with a HEAP of rocker is nice in chop. Also narrower tips make it easier too (it's harder to catch the front and nose dive). Of course a board like this is harder to ride less powered up. See the chop and pick a line through it.... or relax the knees and soak it up.
  20. I tried a set of these at the KP demo on the weekend. Nice! The board is soooooo glued to your feet. Getting them on in the water was a bit of a pain because i had them nice and tight but it is worth it. I'm sure you could have them looser. I'm also sure that they would eventually mold to your feet. Never felt so connected to a twinne before. Don't know if they would be as good a regular strap for toeside. A regular strap lets you twist your foot a bit more. Doesn't matter though they are sooo comfy. I think my wallet will be a little lighter soon. mike
  21. sheesh! them C kiters are weirder than foil flyers So we have : Bo-Mo sexuals, foil fags and C(un)ts ahahahahahaha I'd like to be a C... at leasts once. mike
  22. Experience...... must come with age. I have 32 years experience eating fruit and Veg. And 14 years experience buying it. I shop often. i.e. The meat and other longer lasting stuff gets done once a week and the fruit and veg i do 2 or 3 times a week. It's fresher that way. BTW for the last 3 years i have avoided anything that comes in a packet like the plague so fruit and vege feature heavily in my diet. HAving said that Kozzie has worked in the industry. I am more than happy to hear his opinion and experiences but i also love a heated discussion. In my family, unless voices are raised, you are not really talking! Damn.... in some W stores you can't even get individual pieces of some things. They are prepacked so you can do the whole self serve checkout. How ya gona sqeeze your Avacodo when it's packed that way. Dodgy W! Strange..... I see my local fruit/vege people sorting through it and only selling the good stuff. At W they seem to just dump it all onto the shelf. Let's agree though: it comes down to the individual store. Some are good and some are bad, no matter what the chain/brand/owner. mike
  23. Thanks Kozzie.... not. Vested interest? Impartial? So why does the stuff from the 'real' fruit store last longer in the crisper than the stuff from woolies? BTW, my wife worked for woolies supply chain for 5 years. I am well aware of how they operate. BULK for CHEAP! Now there is a recipe for QUALITY hahahahaha And no.... i don't live in a bum area. The mean house price around here 800k. I have two woolies in my area. A regular store and a 'premium' store. The premium one is head and shoulders above the regular store for quality but still below the good fruit shop. Stop letting them brainwash you. Maybe you worked in award winning/premium fruit stores in bum suburbs? mike
  24. Yeah! great weekend! Thanks Troy. And thanks to the sponsors. KP, PL, XK and the caravan park. Nice showbags and great organisation and facilities. Troy for PM. mike
  25. 1. A real fruit shop is better than Woolies. ALWAYS. 2. Put the fruit in white wine and lemon juice. It lasts longer and has wine in it Mike
