  1. Looking for a FlexiFoil Rage 2.5 or 3.5m (older models). Specifically looking for a Rage in Acid Colors/Midnight/Hulk. Anyone have any of these color schemes? Looking for used or new! If you have the Casino or Petrol, they work too! Thanks!
  2. Thanks, I followed the XK News Blog! Appreciate these competitions!
  3. That looks sick! I heard people modding other depowers (FlySurfer's) by putting handles and getting rid of the 5th safety line. Tempted to try this on a Peak!
  4. I heard Peak's having the flappy edges as well. It comes with part of the design since it's single skin. It's a hard one as both have pros/cons. I know that single skin's aren't best for getting air (obviously). I have heard too many good things about Peaks.
  5. I have owned a 15m Psycho 4 and my Psycho 3 needs less wind to get moving and it's a 10m! It has to do with the fabric being of lighter material. The Speed 2 dlx seems to be a good pick. To give you some perspective, the 15m Psycho 4 I was getting pulled around at 8-10 knots. Yanked me out of my board a few times as well.
  6. That's crazy! Wouldn't have thought of that.
  7. Interested! Message sent!
  8. It seems most have mentioned what an ideal review would contain. I personally would want something like this: - Cost of kite - What kite comes with (Backpack, KK's, etc..) - Skill level needed to fly it - How kite handles in light/heavy winds - How maneuverable it is, if compared to other kites - Quality of the kite - What it can be used for (Buggying, landboarding, kiteboarding) - What aspect ratio it is (I guess that kind of goes into the maneuverability of it and handling) - Where it can be bought - Characteristics of it (what the kite contains) For instance, if it has velcro opening on the ends to get out sand/other particles. In other words, something that makes the kite unique compared to other kites whether it's features or how it flies.
  9. Too little wind around here (West Coast of Canada). Getting a traction kite in the air can sometimes be challenging as the wind dies often.
  10. I remember me wanting one of these when I first got into power kiting. I thought about it and decided not to get one. They sure do look fun though! With the amount of wind we have here, I wouldn't be flying it much, if not at all.
  11. I'm more in the middle. I do think the designers of the kites put a lot of thought into the color scheme of kites as well as the design which definitely has a big influence on consumers and the selling of kites. People who are not familiar with power kiting will tend to weigh the color scheme/design more than the actual kite itself (at least I've noticed that). When I first started I was about 50/50. I didn't want to be the "odd" one out there flying a poorly designed/bland kite, I wanted a nice design/color which looked catchy. Once I gained experience in the sport, then I didn't look at the design and looks as much. Quality comes into this as well I guess. Quality kites (not necessarily more expensive) have brighter colors with a more thought through design.
  12. Greetings! I'm Ari from Vancouver, Canada and it's been a pleasure talking with other fellow kiters on here and in general. I'm quite new to power kiting and would really benefit from a Nasa Star. In a month or two I'm planning on getting my first bug so this would definitely be fun to try out with the Nasa. I own a PL Hornet 3.0m and love it! Thanks for the awesome contest. I will be sure to spread the word with a few buddies of mine who haven't joined this forum yet. Much love from Vancouver! Cheers, Ari
