  1. PM's sent to all who have made enquiries. AJF1.0 - you need to make 5 posts on the forum before you can send PM's.
  2. Ever since the kids came along, I haven't had a chance to put any of this gear to good use. I'm selling a complete setup for someone getting into the sport. For sale: Peter Lynn Mark II Buggy and Trailer. The trailer has never been used by me, it has sat in the shed for the last few years. The buggy has been used a dozen or so times on grass and a couple of times on the beach. Ozone Turbo Bar. Probably only used only a half dozen or so times. Peter Lynn Viper 5.3m FB Kite. Comes with bag, lines, handles and Kite Killers. Still crispy, no damage or repairs. Selling the lot as a package, I'd prefer not to split it up. $1000 - Pick up from West Footscray, Victoria.

  4. I've got a couple you can borrow. I'm not in town this weekend, but will be home during the week. PM me your contact details and we can sort something out. I'm in West Footscray so not too far from you. Cheers Gavin
  5. I have a related question... At work I have access to a drying room (Basically a small room with a fan heater in it) used for drying out clothes and equipment. If I wash my kite and hang it to dry in the drying room, will the elevated temps affect or degrade the fabric in some way? The sort of temps I'm talking about aren't really very hot, the room only gets to about 35 deg or so....
  6. Got my son an iPhone for his birthday the other week and recently got my daughter an iPod for hers. I was dead chuffed when the family clubbed together and bought me an iPad for Father's day. Got my wife an iRon for her birthday. It was around then the fight started......

    MAN DOWN

Has anyone tried using some of the non-slip tape products that are available in safety shops? The kind of stuff I'm thinking about is on page 207 of the catalogue here: http://bradyaust.dirxion.com/Main.asp It's a bit exxy, but one roll would do quite a number of footpegs...
  8. Thanks for all your replies. I got in contact with Spartan the other day and we have arranged to meet at some stage (when there is some wind!). Looking forward to getting to know the rest of the Melbourne crew. Cheers Gavin
  9. Cool, thanks Spartan. I live in West Footscray, so not too far from Derrimut. I had some spare time at work the other day and was looking through the Melways to find open areas and saw the Grasslands so I thought I'd have a look. PM your way with my number. Cheers Gavin
  10. Apologies if this question has been asked before, I've searched the forum and couldn't find anything. I was driving past the Derrimut Grasslands today and thought it looked like a pretty good spot for land kiting. Has anybody tried it there before? Were there any access issues? The whole area is a Parks Victoria reserve, so there might be some legal issues I'm not aware of. The Grasslands themselves are huge, over 150 Hectares, on the corner of Fitzgerald Rd and Boundary Rd, Derrimut (Melway 39 H8), so it looks like there is plenty of room to move. I'm still a real newby to all things kiting - I only have one kite (Ozone Imp Quattro 2.5) and no landboard or buggy, so I may be way off the mark here, but I've been bitten by the bug and am looking to get set up with some kit soon! What do other Melbourne kiters think of this place? Cheers
