  1. Managed to unearth the buggy and take it to the beach. Despite the gusty wind, very unusual when its off the sea, and the higher than predicted tide, and the rubbish beach with much soft shingle and full of holes from the industrious holidaymakers, I had a blast Even managed to almost run a seagull over, just clipped it with a footpeg.
  2. I surprised myself
  3. So having said what I said above I voted out That's one in the eye for Cameron, and it's what Tony Benn would have wanted.
  4. Being forced to change my passwords all the time, and not being allowed to use old ones either. My passwords are getting increasingly sweary these days.
  5. Ah yes the power of the abrupt ending, leaving the final scene to the viewers imagination and creating a topic of conversation and even controversy for the audience. Or... I'm just a lazy arse that can't be bothered to edit movies:)
  6. with some help from my daughter and her partner:) BTW that's the first time her boyfriend has flown a kite:cool:
  7. I see lots of similarities between the US and EU. Right now lots of US states disagree with their federal government about this transgender issue (a bit of a nonsense that the media loves because it makes good headlines). I'm sure if you asked an average american they would have the same complaints as we do about the government. But the net result is the USA is well, the USA.
  8. That's the problem, no one really has any facts. As soon as the politicians state their case on the news I just hear blah blah blah blah blah... Gyles Brandreth told a good tale on Have I Got News for You of when he was a MP and no one in government had a clue what was going to happen before, during or after the UK left the Euro exchange.
  9. Well, all the bollocks from both the remain and leave camps is of no help at all. So I think you just have to go with your own instinct. Mine is to stay in because it has worked for the USA. Though I'm not sure I would want to go as far as the United States of Europe.
  10. Which farcebook page is it that everyone is on? I know of 2 for kitebuggying, but there's just as little posting as on here.
  11. yes and yes
  12. Very nice. I should finish my video, but I can never decide what music to use.

  14. Sad news, my interest in kiting started with a Peter Powell stunt kite. However I'm not sure all types of multi-line kiting today is down to him, I think Flexifoil deserve the credit for traction kiting.

Just entered the comp, so had a look at the faqs to see what I'll need to bring to the lesson, it says to bring some sun cream Hows that for optimism.
  19. Still a chance you can get her a buggy instead for racing, got to be a lot cheaper
  20. Be careful with the horse racing, some horses are spooked by kites.
  21. As I'm on the east coast it's been many months since I could buggy on the beach with an onshore. Anyhoo dug the buggy out of the shed Monday and set off. Only trouble was I seemed to have forgotten what little I've learned. First I picked the wrong kite size and had to dash back to the shed. Then I got my lines in a muddle. Finally got things sorted and had a jolly hour or two in the dunes. Then a long upwind jibe session to get back to base. Then almost had a tangle with a dog that went after the kite on the ground, I had visions of the dog being cut in two if the kite powered up with lines wrapped around it. Still it was worth it to see the look of embarrassment on the owners face when they realised they had no control what so ever over their dog. Hope everyone had a great christmas, and all the best for the new year.
  22. It won't take long to pay for itself then. I read the technical paper, sort of understand. I notice it increases NOx emissions, just like a VW does
  23. What I can't understand is why Toyota, with all their £millions for R&D, didn't make their ECU perform like that in the first place
