I would say quite possibly yes, the wind will not help as its westerly. Give the rangers a ring, number on aospkc website and on here somewhere. You can always park behind the ranger station and walk over the dunes though if it is closed. Take care though eh! 45mph big red arrows over crosby atm!!

Club Update

One of the main Club targets for 2007 was to build relationships with relevant bodies. We now have representation on the following

There has also been submission of a grant application in conjunction with running the Club nights- information will be passed to all club members upon further development.

Club meets - As the Thursday night summer meets of 2007 were so successful we have been invited to continue. Club is every Thursday from 4pm onwards at Ainsdale during British Summertime (3/4/08) - Free Taster sessions are available with a BPKA Power Kite Instructor.

Away trips – in 2007 an informal, yet successful fly-in at Shell Island was enjoyed and the AOSPKC supported the Fraisthorpe Flyers in a great weekend away.

BPKA Update

The BPKA were asked to supply an update on achievements of 2007 and plans for 2008, no update was provided.

Beach Update

Beach signage has been finalised, produced and will be rolled out on the change from winter to summer zoning - further updates will be posted on the AOSPKC Website.

Rules/Regulations/Disciplinary System- A new 3 tier disciplinary system is under discussion along with a new set of rules and code of conduct. This will ensure the beach remains open for use to those who comply with the rules. Bans will only be imposed on those who fail to obey the rules - Further information will be posted as soon as the system has been finalised.

A few peeps used to go to a pub about 4-5 miles up the coast road as it did 2 for 1 deals. That's if you want the drive? Not sure if it's still doing the offer though! Turn right at roundabout off the beach, along coast rd till lights, right along dual carriageway past airfield & formby till a big pub on left near some traffic lights. Not sure name either. So I couldn't be more vague really LOL :D
