nolan Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 Wow, I've just heard the news. Huge congratulations to everyone involved, and well done on all your hard work. I never thought I'd see the day. Now, all I have to do is remember what a kite looks like. It's been so long, I'm not even insured anymore. I'll send my renewal off next week when I get paid, and hopefully I'll be beach-bound soon. Anyone been to BRS recently? I'll be at Gwynant from Feb 1st for a few days, so I might pop along.

nolan Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 BTW, Gwynant won't be open, so it's a day-trip job for you lot (we'll be staying in the farm). I reckon Sat 2nd sounds like a plan? Brassneck, I'll have my ukulele with me, so if the weather's **** we can have a Weddoes recital!

koen1599968714 Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 Looks like I will be able to make this Sunday. Tides are quite big though with high tide at 2pm so thinking of doing 9am-1pm. Anyone else coming? It's always nice to have other people about and I'd like to try my harness for the first time so good to have someone look out in case something goes wrong!
SandMonster Posted January 24, 2008 Author Report Posted January 24, 2008 Does anyone have any stunning images of the beach we could use on the website? Bobby, you must have millions? Matt, dunno if there's anything that's up to the Bobby standard, but if anything off my flickr catches your eye feel welcome to use it... http://www.flickr.com/photos/sandmonster

nolan Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 Right, we can use Gwynant (secretly), but there'll be no facilities. The water system isn't frost-proof, so it's completely drained over Winter. Drop me a line if you're interested in staying there.. We'll have the tipi and the wood-burner, so we can all get cosy in the evenings. We're going to head there straight after work on Friday 1st, so should arrive around 19:00-19:30. Bring it on. I can't wait, I haven't been in my buggy for over 6 months
PaulLaurie Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 Bugger, just realised I've double booked myself for that weekend. At the NME awards tour on the Saturday night
