brassneck Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 hehe knew you would appreciate that one paul.
Bobby Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 If the sun shines , and the wind turns westerlie, and I get this elephant's rubber repaired, might make it for an afternoon paddle. Low tides about 5 so afternoon goons should be just about cozy with only a 'massive' 2m lt givin us a short walk back . ____________________________ Seasonal highlight - 'Flint Street Nativity' - Liverpool Playhouse - big 'uns playing little 'uns - loads of festive fun, gets 5 and a bit Santas .

SandMonster Posted December 8, 2007 Author Report Posted December 8, 2007 quick vid from 1st december. didnt have a kite small enough for the day , so its carl on his 10m. bit shaky but no tripod and you couldnt stand still against the wind. http://uk.video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=1579387 At last a proper soundtrack to a home made vid Agreed....(no offence Carl!) Will this rain stop in time for a session? (met office shows it stopping about 3 pm - just in time for it to go dark!)
carltb Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 no offence taken mate, i just use the music i like!!!!!
Bobby Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Suicide Saturday, no sun and an all day off shore breeze - but 'tada!', I did mend the burst blubber! http://www.bobmcgee.com/images/kites/bladder.jpg 2 leaks and no passes! 3 hours and still firm as fuk! Now just gotta talc up the dude and get him home . Simple pimple so far cept you don't realise how massive these dudes are, gonna piccie up the process and stick it up someplace. Afternoon Sunday session on the cards, decent onshores and the promise of a bit of sun. Beer in the boot and a few nicked Xmas tree chocs, and we're set .
SandMonster Posted December 8, 2007 Author Report Posted December 8, 2007 Your des-res is looking crimbo-tastic in that pic Bobby - may see you down there tomoz:cool:
SandMonster Posted December 9, 2007 Author Report Posted December 9, 2007 Top little session this afternoon....wind, sunshine, smooth hard sand almost everywhere (with the odd wet bit:D) and good company:cool::cool:
Bobby Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 Cobs was spot on. Picked up nicely and swung nob on . And don't you just love 'em big sunset skies . Best bit is 'em big flat low water goons, speed running thro 'em, faster and faster, with a big magical sunset sun in your face then catching the board tip and ending up ass over tit, with a real cool bit o' the Irish Sea flushing thro your wettie .
Bobby Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 One fine bluebird day so nipped down for a hour before the rest of the weeks Southerlies get here. http://www.bobmcgee.com/images/kites/10121.jpg Building on part of the old Lido site - looks like an extension to the Rangers building rather than the talked about shop/cafe/mixed-shower/bar:p kiters hangout . Anybody else think those scaffolding poles make a sort of cathedral-esk statement to the wind and the shore - or is it just me. http://www.bobmcgee.com/images/kites/10122.jpg When the gulls hang, you just know it's goona be cool http://www.bobmcgee.com/images/kites/10123.jpg Russ on the Ozone, Kyle on the Flexi and Baz on the £30 7m ebay Wipika - paid more than that for the blondes Xmas sexy vest and tights. Wouldn't that be great if your family bought you bargains like that offa ebay instead of the usual 'I've kept the receipt' stuff. A pile of Santas best ebay kiting items Xmas morning - now that'd be so cool . http://www.bobmcgee.com/images/kites/10124.jpg Baz getting a cheap £30 thrill - and the dude also picked up that great nick Skywalker board for a snip at £100. £130 all in - just add a wettie and a dog leash and the dude was rockin'

SandMonster Posted December 12, 2007 Author Report Posted December 12, 2007 Is it easy or do you have to get used to falling over... PS...where's the ainsdale xmas decorations?...
PaulLaurie Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Is it easy or do you have to get used to falling over... QUOTE] I think there will be a fair amount of falling over in the future involved but in the 50 mins we where on the snow for our first time neither me, Laurie or my brother fell over apart from the times we were told to (they teach you how to fall without breaking your wrists ) I found it reletivly natural as my balance isn't too bad, no doubt anyone who can board a little should have a head start.
JohnDave Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 Nice moves:cool: , Sweet beach , Rubbish music Anyone out this cold and offshore weekend?
SandMonster Posted December 14, 2007 Author Report Posted December 14, 2007 nice!...were you the only one there?... winds looking OK-ish for BRS, but not sure if I can be bothered with the drive:rolleyes:

Match Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 Me and Si are heading over to Middleton Sands tomorrow if she blows - Anyone wanna join us?
koen1599968714 Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 Me and Si are heading over to Middleton Sands tomorrow if she blows - Anyone wanna join us? I would love to, but probably won't be able to make it. Judging by the vast expanse of that beach, am I right in thinking that it really doesn't matter where the wind comes from? And where exactly do you park to get onto the beach?

koen1599968714 Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 Koen, Middleton called off. I couldn't make it anyway, but now I don't feel so bad anymore . Thinking of any outings this week? I have one or two days annual leave left to take before the new year.
