Anyone playing out at the weekend? NE winds, so Prestatyn would be good with a 10:45 high tide, and playable from 12ish?

Or Fraisey (10.30 low tide) / Redcar (9.40 low tide) for some water fun too?

Hiya Adam, hope to see you on the sand sometime soon. I'd just like to vouch for Gary's 10m 05, it's immaculate.

Hopefully should be out this weekend, depending on what the wind is like :) Dont think I will be out on the board though, dont have insurance (I take it that is still required at Ainsdale?)

worth getting insurance IMO...shows you're being a responsible kiter;)

...& you do need it for Ainsdale + permit as per first post of this thread:)

not sure about this evening now as it's forecasting rain & not a lot of wind & I've hurt my foot somehow:(

And while we're talking injuries, I don't reckon I'll be out this weekend after being "doored" on the curry mile yesterday. Very painful shoulder+neck (thankfully nothing broken). Hopefully it'll improve by the time my bpka renewal comes through...

 Chatting to Si about Fleetwood sand bars. They are doable (its a word) this weekend, they are flat and hard, they are 2 miles out  Fine for those with a buggy, excellent for boarders who buggy, big walk for boarders who don't.

Tide and route knowledge is essential though as the bars get cut off by the incoming tide and you'll have to spend the night on the Wyre Lighthouse. Call in the shop if you are planning to go out there and get Alex's advice.

Gonna go myself on Sunday - Matt

I'm tempted to BRS again, apparently the ban kicks in from Monday next week. If the wind is easterly then the Harlech end of the beach is the playground, last chance for a few months:eek:

Heal soon mate, sure there is enough strength in the arms seeing as how much flying you do without a harness:eek:

Can I just second the call to be carefull if you go out on the Fleetwood sand bars. I do a bit of sailing in the fleewood / Morcambe bay area and the speed of the tides is just scary /cut you off easy kinda thing.

(Suppose you could always strap a board to the buggy and surf back in though!!)

have fun:)

Not a lot of wind and a wee bit wet yesterday - played on other pepes foils and boards and just drank and nattered.

Lots of 'Construction Traffic' signs and Tonka toys way out towards the second barrier - no ideas what those diggers are digging.

Tempted to cut the cord and try Fleetwood this weekend after Si's glowing endorsement of the best fun to be had in a NEasterlie - (dude you were sleeping so peaceful like, didn't have the heart to rap on the motor to say tarraa.)

Cross shores for the weekend if we stay and play - far out sandbanks are flat and hard, but bumps galore as you get closer in.

Landcrab and stay home or fly up to Fleetwood for a dip in the rubber.

Cobs and XC are both giving NE now, so that puts BRS off the list.

So guess it's Prestatyn (no water), Fraisethorpe or Fleetwood, I'm tempted by Fleetwood TBH but depends where anyone else if off to.
