adamski Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Samski, Ian and myself had our first trip to Ainsdale on Saturday. We would just like to say we had a great time, the locals were all very friendly, the warden was polite and helpful, the council couldn't have been better about getting permits and rules over to us. Oh... and the beach LOVELY! We will be up again soon, you have three new "regulars" I think:)

nolan Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 A fancy dress 100 mile challenge???? Oh no!! I've only just recovered from my 100 mile session on Saturday. The thought of doing it again in fancy dress isn't pleasant. But then again, it is for charidee. When is it?
Match Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 a very wet beach, wind was below 30 though;) . dried out ok , had a good blast:cool: Didn't come down cos XC had it over 30 and gusting over 40, despite it being forcast 17. Keeping an eye out for a 6.5 day.
big-jon Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Charity event - if anyone wants to run for their own charity, I reccon that's fine. If enough people are up for it I think it would be good PR for the beach? Now lets talk the old major problem of insurance. I can't insure the event through the Fed, hows about it being a BPKA event?? I will of course help out with the paper work if I can and with any other help if needed??
