Bobby Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 Looking good for a late Monday session. Cobbs is giving it mid teens and bang onshore around tea time - might be a bit damp but thats cool cos it just washes the sea stingy salt stuff from your eyeballs . Noticed last Thursday in that hoolie wind session the harness is falling apart so had the daughter stich it back together, in the process reducing the waist from a 32 to a 30 . Even with the straps fully slack it's one mighty tight fit . Skipped on today's pudding - cos I'm so dedicated and tea time tomorrow looks so cool .
Bobby Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 ...and Cobbs arrows have just gone from a ticklish pink to a horny white . game on ladies game on
brassneck Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 have a good un.... no can make it ran out of water last thursday and skipped along niceley on my backside , a nice bruised coccyx to heal , so one less noob on the water ..... for this week anyway!

Bobby Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 :D:D Pulled a hamstring, lost a stopper off the Instinct and worse still ran out of beer - still had one great session. Weather was good, bang onshore winds picked up great and water was so warm. 10/10 Tom - the dude was awesome . Any noobs wanting to learn how to pull cool moves, stand on the edge and just watch this guy. Can't walk on this pulled muscle at the mo - strapped up but hoping to make it for tomorrows tea time SWesterlies.
gravyboat Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 hi bobby was it you in that lagoon? i was on the rasta ion i was just pracicing my upwind and turning skills but was an awesome night tom was pretty sick, wish i could fly like that
Bobby Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 Yep that was me. Why did the other dudes leave that oasis?? Just us two till that warm lake emptied - fav of mine is blastin up the 'river' till I can feel the sand drummin under the board - surprising how far you can get before you faceplant . F*k this calf hurts. The time when I used to get kite injury sympathy from the family is long gone now it's just a smirk and "hurry up dad or get out the way" .
gravyboat Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 lol i'll say hello next time dont know why everyone went, that was best bit of the night! i wasnt complaining tho. them lagoons are well cool had a go on the land lastnight and the beach is hard again but lumpy, not much fun vibrating your tits off. glad ive got the water option now, yesterday would off been rubbish but turned out to be a top sesh
JohnDave Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 Sure was a really cool evening yesterday, wind picked up just perfect and the water was flat. Managed to bust my kite so was going to pack up and go, then Bobby turns up and lends me his kite, carries mine back to the car and returns with a beer. Mate, you deserves a medal. Hope your calf sorts itself out soon. Oh and what size was that Ozone and what length lines? Looked like they were on really long lines.
Bobby Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 ...then Bobby turns up and lends me his kite, carries mine back to the car and returns with a beer... Just all part of the service dude . ...what size was that Ozone and what length lines?... 13m and 27m lines John - yep a bit long and probably why that kite turns a wee bit slow. Should try it on shorter lines, I've 3 bars and one of em has 25m lines, just can never be assed to find out which one .
Bobby Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 Looks like a fantastic Friday and a sizzling Saturday dudes - big and bang onshore so pretty much perfecto . Not for me though - taking the blonde away for a week. This kite widow deserves it - you gotta pay back a little . Have fun - fly safe. .

CeeJay Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Ainsdale Kicks Ass!You ain't wong there... But I'm thinking of trying BLS this w/e (sat?) as there should be masses of beach - fingers xxx'd for no rain... I was on there last night, it was a good session. The beach was a little rippley but nothing too drastic. It'll get a good wetting today but hopefully be fine tomorrow and a little flatter from the rain There should be quite a few down there this weekend!!

gravyboat Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 whens everyone down there next? if its within the next few months can someone please drop me a pm as i want to learn how to use my new peter lynn guerilla ! I was in southport on saturday and i'm annoyed that i didnt know this was going on! there are allways people at ainsdale if its windy. especially at the weekend. land guys tend to post here if they are going and water guys tend to post in the kiteboarding section (with a few exceptions) just keep your eye on the wind on xc and check the forum. if your boarding with your g you need insurance and a permit, im guessing its just static for now with you just learning so you dont need a permit for that. if i'm there i can show you the basics. cant miss my van, its got a massive baby on the side
aworm Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 Gary's just killed the wind for Tues and Weds.....
mathers Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 17mph nw at the mo - gonna give it a go as the missus is out tonight.
