nolan Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 Went down to the beach today:D drank beer on me own:( Sorry mate. We were all set for a day on the beach, but things happened that we weren't expecting. Actually, we ended up in the pub with a few mates! We're off to a cottage in Mid-Wales tomorrow for a New Year session, so we had to have an early party with the guys that we won't see. Best wishes to you all for 2007. See y'all when we get back.
brassneck Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 cheers to the guys down at the beach yesterday..... my gaggle of kids are now well and truly hooked (the lad wanted to get down today as he saw 30mph winds on tv..... cool he said!!). A bit more training and I can get 'em in the 2012 Olympics........ just need to get kitesurfing / boarding / buggying recognised as an olympic sport! ...

PaulLaurie Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Wooohoo...not many out today...did I get first buggy ride of 2007, or did someone get there earlier...didn't see any tracks, but the wind was blowing sand all over so may have covered them up...???:D:D HeHe, You certainly got there before me, that rain & hail storm and the fact it was feckin cold had me chickening out. big-jon Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Happy New year to all the Ainsdale massive ! I have only just got back after spending the last few days down at Brighton - it doesnt look like I missed much but after seeing the kite-surfers down at Brighton it makes me want to get my water wings even quicker!!! Lets hope 1007 is a good one and we can build on the good work started last year !?
airking Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 I was at Ainsdale yesterday (and today!) messing about with my 2 stacked super 10’s. That must have been you with the buggy SandMonster yesterday afternoon? If so, you must have seen me. What was that kite you were using if you don’t mind me asking? Paul
SandMonster Posted January 3, 2007 Author Report Posted January 3, 2007 9m phantom...similar to a stacker in many ways...just easier to launch... you were getting some massive high speed scuds in with that little stack...we were sat in the van watching you launch and thinking you were gonna go whizzing off down the beach...we would've come & helped you launch (honest)...just it started to hail;)...respect:cool:
airking Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 That session was definitely up there as one of the most fun I’ve had with the 10’s . Some of those scuds I was doing felt really nice and fast!! I don't usually have a problem launching on my own, I think I was in such a rush to get the kite up the line got hooked on the spar and they flipped over. Luckily the hail downpour was fairly short, I was distracted from the hail by a guy asking if he should put his Beamer 3.6 up or was it too windy.....and then you stuck a 9m up lol! I had such a good time on New Years day that I’ve been at Ainsdale again today, so 3 out of the past 4 days, I’m knackered, but the wind hasn’t been as strong, still decent enough but with the 10's you need a lot! I'll have a proper 4 line jobbie soon hopefully, even though I still fancy adding a couple more 10's to the stack Cheers Paul

Match Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 I've lost my Mojo again There's a few reasons why. I know what they are and don't need to analyse them, but I do need to beat it a get it back. Need to get a good session or 2 in to regain the Mojo and herein lies the problem. No Mojo = No drive to go kite = No kiting = Reduced Mojo = Less drive = Less Mojo.... etc. Help!!!!!!!!!!!
