Graham M Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 NO POLITICS:mad: ffs... todays beach action.whos going tomorrow-that kind of thing... I,m not flying for a while cos my ankles fatter than usual:p
nolan Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 This'll never work. Why would anyone want to fly a kite when you could be posting pointless nonsense? I want to know who paid for this thread, and when will we be able to "jump" it to the top?
kevob Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 hi graham what have you done mate? took a fall? it would be good to have an ainsdale thread without all the crap i dont often read the other one due to its pathetiic content:rolleyes: kev
Mark Rose Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 Graham, you read my mind...i was about to do exactly the same thread. Moning all.
Graham M Posted July 23, 2005 Author Report Posted July 23, 2005 Hi Kev. Ive twisted my ankle but not as badly as it first seemed so just need to rest it.Guess this kind of thing is going to happen practicing 360 jumps. Personally I think the Ainsdale thread was at its best when we had the daily Bobby report complete with pictures. Lets try to keep this lighthearted fun eh? Graham. hi graham what have you done mate? took a fall? it would be good to have an ainsdale thread without all the crap i dont often read the other one due to its pathetiic content:rolleyes: kev
andy_pandy Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 Thank-you thank-you.......at last a nice Ainsdale thread. Hope you foot gets better Graham, I did a similar thing last year and took a big fall and couldn't walk for about 2 months...!!!! Hoping to get down to Ainsdale soon as i sort of miss the place..
Graham M Posted July 23, 2005 Author Report Posted July 23, 2005 Thanks Andy for the sympathy. Hoping to buy a digital camera today off ebay so I can post pictures of Ainsdale beach fun/obe,s /sunsets- that kind of thing.
69web Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 Just back from beach. 18 MPH Easterly, loads of soft sand at entrance beach very ripply.
Anderoo Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Just back from beach. 18 MPH Easterly, loads of soft sand at entrance beach very ripply. Only 18? Darn I looked at the wind post earlier in the day, and decided that 30mph was far to much for me so stayed at home. Although it was raining as well so kinda wimped out.
Mark Rose Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Loads of idiots on the beach doing doughnuts and stuff yesterday. The helecopter came and the drivers were being stopped by the police as they were driving off the beach. Good to see something being done about the litttle chavs.
garykf Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 aaaahhhh....a chilled zone at last:D Hope the ankle heals soon Graham, what 360's are you going for, forward/backward rotatations??? Hopefully down at the beach one night this week if the wind is good:)
maddogbarker Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Well, Thanks to Nolan for a go in the Flexi buggy on Saturday. (Hope the hip repairs quick mate) I rekon I am hooked now. Much prefer that upright seating position compared to the Libre Special, which is more laid back. So, up for sale goes the Libre special - gonna put it on the forum, if no takers, then onto ebay.
Graham M Posted July 25, 2005 Author Report Posted July 25, 2005 Hi Gary. I've been trying forward rotations (left to right-feels very strange trying right to left)which were going well until the board fell off one foot and dug in the sand as I rotated.Reckon more practice static jumping and spotting my landing before trying with the board again.Think I'll get some F2 bindings as well . aaaahhhh....a chilled zone at last:D Hope the ankle heals soon Graham, what 360's are you going for, forward/backward rotatations??? Hopefully down at the beach one night this week if the wind is good:)
69web Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Only 18? Darn I looked at the wind post earlier in the day, and decided that 30mph was far to much for me so stayed at home. Although it was raining as well so kinda wimped out. Think you might have been looking at the wind for the 20th it's not been updated for a while check the dates.
big-jon Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 I have 6 weeks to play now, so as soon as the winds goes decent I will be down, I am thinking of buying a depowerable, so I would like to try some different options if people would let me have a go and give me some advice? I have an old PL buggy that I am doing up for playing on and leaning some of the dark sides tricks!? Thanks
Graham M Posted July 25, 2005 Author Report Posted July 25, 2005 My 15m Bomba is an ultra stable, auto zenithing, grunt machine.Your very welcome to try it Jon.Reckon Sabres/Frenzys better for buggying though and easier to land unassisted than arcs. Depowerables=fun.
big-jon Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Thanks Graham, you using it this weekend at Hoy? Looks like we may need something that big!!!
Bobby Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 NO POLITICS ffs... My vote - Graham for thread moderator Couldnt believe it last night - logged on from this place for a look see - must av been 15 pages of the stuff! Left and went back the bar. Looks like no wind at the beach when I get back - might pack the tent and do an Anglesey weekend. Heal quick Gra.
Match Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Nice thread Graham Where do you post now Evenin' gents. Got a woman emailing the club selling a 'virtually new' Peter Lynn Buggy for £80-100. big-jon Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 now dont let the power go to your head Graham, one power hungry dictator is enough for the beach, and I won't like it if you take that away from me !!

If he or whoever need help I know a few software developers that would be willing. Have spoken to them about it and they say it should be straight forward and easily achieved.
big-jon Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 I asked Big Jon about this at meeting he said Andy someone was sorting it I think. If he or whoever need help I know a few software developers that would be willing. Have spoken to them about it and they say it should be straight forward and easily achieved. Please ask them to get in contact with me as the Council have said we can go for it. We just need someone to write the program, I can give them full access to our website and the name of the contact in the Council. Sorry about my mention of power, that was my poor attempt at a joke ?!
