  2. Its a pretty sturdy board, one of my friends has used it briefly and he is 15st or so and was fine, not sure how that equates when it comes to jumping and so on, but shouldnt have too many problems around the 13st mark? Greg
  3. Sneaky boxing day bump =]
  4. http://freeridepage.webs.com/IMG_48561.jpg http://freeridepage.webs.com/IMG_48631.jpg http://freeridepage.webs.com/IMG_48531.jpg Right guys =] i have had this Kitedeck Reflex for a couple of years now, I initially bought it as part of a package deal with the intention of learning to board but it took quite a while to acquire, and if honest I had moved on to buggying by the time i finally got hold of it . Since getting it, i have only used it 2 or 3 times, and so is in pretty great condition. The deck was custom built for me, at 11st and 6'2", so would suit the lighter rider. Its a really nice deck with lots of pop and is in almost as new condition, having never been jumped or bottomed out. The deck measures 89cm in length and has a total weight of around 7kg Fitted with MBS bindings and Primo striker tyres. Comes with blue annodised Revo's which i know a lot of people are pretty keen to get hold of they're apparently bomb proof. Im looking for around £250 posted I'd much rather see it in a new home, but i do love it as a piece of engineering, so wouldnt be entirely disappointed if it had to stay =] Any other questions just give me a PM Thanks for looking all =] Greg

  9. Well anywhere near portsmouth would also be good for me as it's where im currently living, so would save on accomodation etc, the main draw of poole harbour was the conditions and possibility of it being a bit warmer, but i imagine it would be just as useful to learn in the areas i will ultimately probably be using Anyone else have any reccomendations in the Portsmouth/Poole areas?
  10. Hiya, after trawling through many pages i havn't been able to find much information yet so sorry if i'm repeating other peoples questions but... Im looking to take some lessons, most likely in poole harbour due to it being quite convenient for me, and am currently looking at S2AS and was wondering if this was the best move to make, the consistency of quality of some instructors around poole seems to be a bit changeable.... =/ So basically has anyone had any dealings with S2AS to know what they're like or is there anyone else who would be vastly better? Thanks in advance Greg
  11. Pm'd you Vic, very very interested!
  12. Yeah, apparently it is a trampa deck which is "made from a re-inforced glass and plastic thermo composite" with a carbon outer i believe... mashup ill get you the dimensions asap, probably this afternoon =]
  13. sorry, would prefer to keep the board as a whole, thanks though =] Greg
  14. Just testing the water here, i have had a Kitedeck Reflex for a number of years as i bought it as part of a package with the intention of learning to board but have only used it twice and it could do with a new home. The deck measures 89cm in length Board weight of around 7Kg Im looking for around £270, however i do love this board as a piece of engineering so will be happy to keep it if it does not sell =] Any other questions just give me a PM http://portchestercastle.webs.com/photos/IMG_149411.jpg http://portchestercastle.webs.com/photos/IMG_149211.jpg http://portchestercastle.webs.com/photos/IMG_150011.jpg Cheers Greg
  15. Any other suggestions, reccomendations or places to avoid? I quite like the look of southampton, but you know, always nice to have some choice in the world =]
  16. Hiya, I have been kiting for years now but only land based because of being too far away from the sea to justify it, but having just moved down to Portsmouth I’m looking to take some lessons to get me started as kitesurfing is quite different. So I was wondering what your recommendations would be for instructors? I don’t mind travelling a bit, but would prefer around the central south coast. Thanks
  17. chaa i just keep that in the signature cos im cool...
  18. flexi must rele hate me then, i must have the lowest posts per day ever : >
  19. as far as i know there is not a waiting list, if there is it is unlikley to be more than a week... and as far as i know, you cant get it with a grab handle as one of thier standard options but they may be able to do it as a custom thing for you, you would have to ask them hope this helps Greg
  20. the last bits great... "We have also informed the French distributor that consignments of firearms will not be accepted for delivery in future."
  21. basically, yes, in the past there has been one wallop in may for 3 days on the bank holiday and another in august (around the 9th) on a non bank holiday weekend for just the 2 days we dont know as yet for sure if there is going to be one later this year or not, we just have to keep our fingers crossed...
  22. it is a real shame, they were great guys to deal with and very helpfull with dealing with Cameleon on my behalf when i bought my buggy from them a couple of years ago... Cheers again for lending me your buggy for the August wallop 2003 when we found out i would not have my Cameleon by then, its how i learnt to buggy.... If you are ever on the forums then thanks again and sorry you went out of business Cheers Greg Payne

    Advice

make sure the kite is well powered up before you turn so it doesnt collapse (and dont turn upwind ) um, if you can help it try going at 90 degrees to the wind direction, the walk back upwind is very dull if you go straight downwind... just generally take it easy and it is more or less the same technique as mountainboarding (i assume you do that from your sig) Have fun Greg
  24. i think the rail belonged to extreme kite shop, either that or it just had loads of there stickers on it... Greg
  25. does anyone have that video that was on in the film fest, i think it was 3rd or 4th... by someone beggining with s...
