Over 2 years since the last post on this thread!?
I finally bought the v3 Infinity, 2 years ago and apart from one light week in Portugal which was saved by the Infinity, had struggled to justify keeping it till today.
Too many hopeful sessions where I've ended up going downwind fast on a 137 x 41 Blank force MkIII. So in response to a question to Blast from whom I'd bought the Infinity, I bought a bigger board- 08 Nobile 666 139 x 46 off eBay as a last ditch attempt to get some satisfaction from this kite.
Today, on the Bluff at Hayle, trying the new board for the first time with the Infinity, I had the best session yet in ~12mph. Upwind was just 'point and shoot'. Could really feel the 6cm fins digging in, steering the board without even needing to edge too hard, but then the edge taking over once speed increased. Then could crank it right over for some almost 'elbow down' riding. Mind you, stopping the bugger was another matter once it got a slight head of speed:- pulling like a train, but that was probably just as much about being confident with the new board as re-learning how to handle this kite.
Anyway, fingers crossed I get the chance to take that pair out again this week as that was a game changer.
Cheers Blast for the advice!
