MTC Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 I'm looking at my next kite purchase for buggying with. I've currently got a 4.9m Blade II and a 3m Radsail. I want something thats a little less feisty than the 4.9 in stronger winds, but more stable than the radsail. Also must be able to use both inland and on the beach. Possibles: 3m Blade III, 3.5m Bullet ..... P-L Rebble (??) Any thoughts anyone? Ta Mark Quote
SandMonster Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Why not a buster? I'm asking cos i'm thinking of getting one myself to learn buggying with Ta Quote
rayens Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Put Ozone into the equation 3m LD will do the job nicely, maybe even the 4.5 - very stable , far better than a radsail and not so demonic as the Blade You know it makes sense !! Quote
bigred1599968607 Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 have a look at the new yoz from gin gliders mega stable pull like train sizes from 2.8 up Quote
anc Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 what do you think Flexifoil has got in his sleeve for us next year? they do have new things every year right? Quote
sexybum25 Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Try and blag a try on a Bullet 2.5m. Really give a good pull and can be worked (Really fast) to squeeze the juice out of it. I prefered it more than the little devils as I found them a bit tame, but it you like to be the dominant one buy a L/D! If you like to be domineered, buy the Bullet. But there are so many kites out there, that at times we have too much to choose from! Quote
bitethebullet Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 YEP BULLET 2.5 DOGS NUTS BUT UPGRADE THE WIRES LONGER,N,STRONGER:D :D Quote
superfly Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 you might as well get a blade mate they have the most grunt.. Quote
MTC Posted November 5, 2003 Author Report Posted November 5, 2003 Ta for replies "Grunt" is good - being dragged out the buggy ain't so good Much as I like me Blade, does anyone fly their Bullet inland - any probs in 'unclean' wind? (Otherwise it might just have to be the Blade 3m as suggested) Happy Buggyin' Mark Quote
oc1rob Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Bullets are good, Have tried teh 2.5 and the 3.5 in a buggy, both very capable and will pull well. Gusts will always be a problem you just have to learn your way around them and what the kite is likely to do. Have only ever flown in land, never yet buggied on a beach..... one of the dissadvantages in living almost officially in the centre of the country (well in terms of distance to a coast at least) Quote
