Thanks for the replies chaps. At least I know what the crack is....... although it is frustrating that there must be many non members like me who are unable to use the beach for buggying (when we were always careful to use 'the zone' previously) then someone comes along & rides outside the zone and risks the very limited access that does exist! Maybe I'll have to try Old Hunstanton sometime .............. are conditions any good there?

Hi Haven't been to Bran for some time now - (baby boy, family stuff, etc etc..) but was wondering what the current siuation is for buggying there? I see from Mr Sylenz's thread that the hardcore chaps are still doing their thing. Is it OK to just turn up or do you have to be "in the club" (!?!!) (I do have current Buggy Club insurance) Yours, optimistically .............

Thinking of going on my jollies to Somerset in a couple of weeks time. Does anyone know of any good buggy beaches / locations around there? (assuming there are no bans / restrictions) Ta

I have a 3m Radsail and a Blade II 4.9m. Decided to get something a wee bit more stable than the Radsail, so on Saturday I got myself a 3.5m Kinell Fusion. It's well put together & looks great. I've only had 1 tryout so far which was Sunday - a bit too gusty (if I'm completely honest) but I think it should prove to have a lot of 'grunt' Anyone else use a Fusion? Good buggy kite?

Ta for replies "Grunt" is good - being dragged out the buggy ain't so good Much as I like me Blade, does anyone fly their Bullet inland - any probs in 'unclean' wind? (Otherwise it might just have to be the Blade 3m as suggested) Happy Buggyin' Mark

I'm looking at my next kite purchase for buggying with. I've currently got a 4.9m Blade II and a 3m Radsail. I want something thats a little less feisty than the 4.9 in stronger winds, but more stable than the radsail. Also must be able to use both inland and on the beach. Possibles: 3m Blade III, 3.5m Bullet ..... P-L Rebble (??) Any thoughts anyone? Ta Mark

The extent of the NT land is shown on the relevant OS map - so am I correct in saying that the bit of beach up toward the creak is OK? Who owns this bit? Also, I don't think the NT own the car park, but they do own the beach in between the car park & the 'buggy area.' Has anyone ever had any problems interms of getting from A to B? - surely they can't object to us trudging up the beach towing buggies up toward the creak?

Just a note on my exploits last week in S Wales. Thanks to those who previously pointed me in the right direction (Rhossilly, Pendine) Rhossilly - fine beach, didn't realise at first the extent of the National Trust land at south end, so got asked to stop last Monday (Shame 'cos conditions were near perfect) Still, last Tuesday went to North end which is OK for buggying - (the irony is that the south end was actually less busy than the north end, but we don't want to upset folks do we!) Pendine - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. What can I say? got to be the best place I've been so far. Mile upon mile of wide compact sand and a huge open space for the likes of me to develop experience ("lumpy" wind and everything). But if you go there - two things to note (with apologies to those who already know all this stuff) 1) MoD own most of it, to carry out firing practice etc, so I couldn't get on 'till after 4pm each day when they took away the corden - although I understand the restriction times vary. 2) Please watch out for the nutters who seem to think its clever to drive down the beach at 60mph and do donuts etc etc in their Vauxhall Astras right through the buggy types. I realise everyone should have a right of access, but please .... a little consideration ???!!? PS Ive got a Blade II 4.9, and a Radsail 3.0. Already contemplating next year's kite. Thinking around the 3.0m ish size - any thoughts for good traction with a bit less lift?

Hi folks! New to buggying this year, although have spent several excellent days up at Brancaster practicing the 'art' (....... oh, and new to this forum malarky also!) I'm going to south Wales next week "on me jollies", - Gower peninsular & Tenby areas. Does anyone know of any decent buggy beaches in the area? Cheers Mark
