.Joel Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 RinseKit, self-pressurising portable washer. Kickstarter link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rinsekit/rinsekit-the-revolutionary-portable-shower?ref=category_popular Looks quite cool, for $100 USD w/ delivery it would make a good portable after-kite wash. RedSky Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 You have a dry sense of humor Joel. I have never washed a kite. I washed a car once but never a kite. Did she fall into a slurry pit I wonder. Quote
andy666 Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 2 gallons really isn't much water (7.5L). You would be better off putting a 20l water container in your van and getting a 12v camp shower off eBay for $30. Hell, you could even use a Li-Po battery to make it portable and still come out under the US$100 for the above unit. Chook 1 Quote
Chook Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 Hell I can clean 2 land yachts with 7 ltrs of water in a pump up garden sprayer. I'm sure I could knock some debris of a bikini with 1/2 a litre more Andy. When I'm camping 5ltr is plenty for a shower. I use a 20 ltr solar shower and you use bugger all water. A very fine shower head with just gravity feed is the secret and turn off the water while you are soaping up.. Quote
Kitepower Australia Posted May 20, 2016 Report Posted May 20, 2016 Interesting, I was confused for a while until I noticed this one is battery powered to heat the water... The original ones we have can be filled with warm/hottish water and if you leave in your car in the sun, you will certainly have a pretty hot shower relative to your body temp when getting out of the water. Wonder how much weight it adds. Quote

SoutherlyBuster Posted May 20, 2016 Report Posted May 20, 2016 To clean things. It's simple, it works, no batteries, no need to pressurize, low likely hood of failure, stuffs into a small package. Quote

It's a one-dimensional product. 1) Can't use it to take fresh water with you, need to fill on location. 2) Uses the same tap you use to refill the rinsekit, yet unlike the rinsekit it offers no pressure. 3) One-dimensional use, stand under it. Can't be used to wash anything else effectively. Rinsekit only uses a battery if it's for heating cold water and is optional. Quote
Goz Posted May 20, 2016 Report Posted May 20, 2016 Looks like a cool idea, would be handy for camping if you can fill it without a hose. But does the dirty girl come with it for the price? Quote
