BobM Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 After working over Easter, I have been given Friday the 26th of April off! I have booked a room at the Mountain View Caravan park at Shoalhaven Heads. That means I have four days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) to find some good wind and a sparcely populated beach. Anyone up for a seesion on Seven Mile? BobM Quote
Tiger37 Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 Sadly Bob I am away that weekend, but hope you have a great time. I look forward to hearing the report. Quote
jdhot Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 Hi Bob, You know if I'm able and conditions are great I'll be there and I sure I can speak for a few others too. If the conditions are right and favourable, we'll (Andrew & I ) bring our new toy to try out It's a 2 man operation .... will leave it at that and see how we go cheers JD PS, Mr Tiger, heard your message, was I supposed to contact you or vice a versa Quote

BobM Posted April 9, 2013 Author Report Posted April 9, 2013 Hmmmmm , well I'm intrigued, Tandem buggy ? Pics will be required Or another Monster-sized buggy that needs two people to get it to the beach Quote
jdhot Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 Hmmmmm , well I'm intrigued, Tandem buggy ? Pics will be required Or another Monster-sized buggy that needs two people to get it to the beach All I will say is it's not a buggy JD Quote
Clive Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 Not a buggy..... OK 2 man operation , Toy, ...... assuming its kite related??????? Maybe not in which case we will never narrow it down It can't be a kite, Not a land board as that's too small, if it's on land it by definition would be a buggy, unless it's a large blowkart. If its in the water it could be a kayak, large surf ski,........ Any clues ???????? Quote
SoutherlyBuster Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 I'm guessing a large land yatch or a kite catamaran (ie like the peter lynn one) .... Quote
.Joel Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 I'm guessing a large land yatch or a kite catamaran (ie like the peter lynn one) .... Either: A) Kitecat, usually a 1 person operation but can be 2 person if it's one of the older non-folding style. The new PL ones from fold up. Kiteboarding, if he can't self-launch yet it's a 2 person job There's a new Kitecat in Victoria, home built job that appeared down in Mentone a couple of months back. The guy who owns it works for some manufacturer that does casting/moulding/blow-moulding etc. Quote
SoutherlyBuster Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 Hmm, a very big kite that needs two people to handle it, a 25 m^2 NASA wing? Quote
jdhot Posted April 23, 2013 Report Posted April 23, 2013 Bob, grab a refund .... conditions certainly haven't shone your way when you've headed down this year Will keep an eye on the wind, hopefully it will improve mate Saturday maybe JD Quote
BobM Posted April 23, 2013 Author Report Posted April 23, 2013 Wind looks like total crap The tide is up when the wind is up(ish) in the morning The afternoon the tide is low as is the wind I need the break from work - so it looks like lots of walking on the beach instead Quote
