  1. Hello everyone, as the title to the thread sayes, I have an RS Super Buggy, I purchased it around 18 months ago and since having built it, it has been sat in my front room due to various reasons. The back axle is the 1.5 metre length flavour and the tyres are BFL's ,three of them would you believe ,it's also got the swanny downtube, backrest and MK2 seat, plus a little bit of dust due to not having been moved from the front room for so long. I've attached some peektures below. I'm looking at £250 for the RS and due to the size of it, it would have to be picked up from my home or I'm open to talking about delivering it depending upon distance from Stoke On Trent and fuel costs. Let me know what you think folks.....
  2. I have one of these windmeters, it's exactly the same but it is called 'Weatherwatch Pro' and the company that manufactures it is called Speedtech Instruments. I've had it a couple of years and I seem to remember getting it through ebay from some shop in the States, think I paid the equivalent of around £50-£60 then. Great bit of kit, I 'tested' the windmeter accuracy by sitting in the passenger seat of my buddy's vehicle and holding it out of the window while he drove at various speeds and the windmeter was pretty much spot on with what the vehicle odometer was registering. The other functions, such as temperature, altimeter and barometer are accurate too, and as a bonus it also displays the time of day, wow, wonders never cease ;-)
  3. What's happening fellow rs buggiers, is there anyone who can get clarification from Ralf himself as to what the score is? here's hoping for good news......
  4. yes, they are bfl's, the spacing between the inner sections of the forks is 222mm. the spacing between the plates where the front axle is approx 228mm. hope that helps
  5. been messing around with some halogens today, thought i'd share some pics.................
  6. Whereabouts are these sites in SOT? It would be great to know. Nice one.
  7. There's a place called Hixon which is near Stone/Stafford area and there's a disused airfield there. Quite large but as to whether it can be used as a buggy/kite activity area I don't have a clue. Maybe worth investigating though
  8. Great news my RS compadres, mine arrived today. Not so great news, I'm on a 13 day shift working away from home and won't be back till Sunday afternoon, had the RS delivered to my local pub and just got the call. I think that i may be doing the same after I've built mine in my lounge on Sunday PM. That's if I can leave the pub in a fit state to put it together, after nearly two weeks away from my local and the lovely Speckled Hen I may have to think about building the RS on Monday. Let's see......................
  9. Had a Peter Thin XR about four years ago, was'nt impressed after the seat fell apart on my third outing, sold it, got a No Sno Board, sold it and am now looking forward to a week on Monday when I get my new RS Super delivered, 150cm acxle, swan-neck, bigfoot lite forks and bigfoot lites all round. Got ten days off as well to top things off on the day tut buggy arrives. Can things get better, yes, £350 delivered. Should be interesting with a 10m Frenzy 06 as the engine. Here we goooooooooooooooooooo
  10. me thinks that the residents object to their 'we can do what we want here' attitude being infringed upon. i could go on but the acronym 'NIMBY' may seem to suffice.
  11. Morning all, the bbq was ok but I'm no Gordon Ramsey I've been told, there a few folk there yesterday,Antoinne,Craig,Carl,Antoinnes lad.Breeze was a bit choppy, ended up flying some of my Rev's. The Shockwave flew very nicely. I'll be going down to BD in about an hours or so time so should be there 1300ish again.
  12. Morning all, don't post often but wanted to let peeps know that i'll be going up to tut BD hills in a couple of hours,i'll be bringing a BBQ with me. I'm travelling from Stoke On Trent so probs get there around 1300hrs ish. Hey Mick, I'm the guy who spoke Polish with you a couple of weeks ago up tut hills, remember? Jak sie masz?
  13. just come across this thread, wow,i'm trying not to do anything apart from thinking about what time to go to tut pub, again, but i'm thinking about building some furniture which got delivered from MFI today, listenin to some cool podcasts from a station called accidenthash (www.accidenthash.com),hanging washing out, learning how to use Nero, think that i'm thinking about doing too much all at the same time, this sounds bad,i may even be productive today, and all this while i'm on holiday.
  14. great, what a time to pick a week off. what's the weather doing i ask myself, no need to check out any weather sites,i look out tut window and it's...................raining,again,oh now it's sunny and breezy,oh now it's raining.....the pub is open,i think i may get wet on the inside with a few scoops....have to time it just right....go go go.that's the barzone i'll be redirecting to...anyone else on their hols or are folks all at work
  15. reckon my job/career is pretty ok, i'm in railway telecomms. most of the time spend weekend at home then spend4/5 nights in a hotel. expenses look after food and ale(only 1 pint a nite tho ;-) ),spend most of the day outside either around the countryside or in some city working with copper cables, fibre cables, maintanance, climbing steel telecomms towers, meeting loads of people. sometimes I even get paid for what I do,bonus
  16. hi all, asked this before but thread gone, how do i get to tut hill,am i able to drive to an area where i can park and fly or do i have to park, walk for a while and then fly etc,are there different locations where i can access tut hill.got a week off next week and i'd love to be able to get up there without driving around looking for a gate that's hidden in shrubbery kind of thing, thanks in advance
  17. the ozzy bloke voice is great, get onto the tomtom website and you can download a Sven voice.did that yesterday, have driven approx 300 miles since then and other drivers keep looking at me cause i'm laughing at Svens directions, kin fantastic.your right, in the right hand corner of the windscreen is perfect, plus it's not so noticeable to pedestrians/tealeaves.
  18. interesting thread, got a TT700 and it's never failed me,and I go all over the UK with the job.trick to getting a decent satnav is like anything else that costs a load of cash,do the research. there's a great site called http://www.pocketgpsworld.com which has rakes of info on satnav's,it's got speed camera updates, user forums etc. worth checking out
  19. Yo Dave, get the Shockwave. That was my first 4liner,took me a long time to get the hang of it, but once I got dialled into it then WOW. After that I got a Blast and after that I got me a SuperBlast. One thing to keep in mind is linelengths, all four have to be spot on with each other so it's worth spending time on the lines. Not flown the SS but I reckon it's a bit like going between a 1000cc bike and a 1100cc bike, always go for that extra little bit because if you don't then you'll always be wondering....what if? Whichever one you go for it'll be fun. I've bought a couple of kites from the States and generally you can save a bunch, but bear in mind you also have to pay VAT, Import Duty and our UK postage too. It still works out less though. One more thing about the SW is the noise it makes, watching dogs try to jump and catch it is a laugh, get them reflexes sharpened. Hope this helps, later
  20. Morning Sand-Yeti, 'Peter Thin', I like the word play. The strap is fine, the strap itself tore out of the seat. I also noticed that there are a couple of smaller straps underneath the seat with a plastic clip on the end of each strap. It looks like the straps with the plastic connectors are there for maybe reinforcement or were put there for a previous seat mod.Don't really know. The straps were'nt tight onto the rear axle, just tight enough. I'll be speaking to Steve from Kiteworld(Clacton On Sea)to see if I can get a replacement under guarantee or if not, then the needle and thread will have to come out.Let's see what happens.............
  21. Morning all, just wanted to find out if anyone out there has a PeterLynnXR and if the straps that hold the seat in place on the rear axle have ever snapped while in motion. Yesterday I managed to get out to see how I'd get on with the new RevSuperBlast and buggy. Wow, SuperBlast is awesome. Had the kite at top of window, climbed into tut buggy and was just telling my partner that I'd see her next week and before I could finish the sentence I was offfff. Then about 20 seconds later I hear a snapping sound(which I did'nt expect), let go of one of the handles, and come to a stop. Checked buggy and lo and behold one of the rear straps has snapped from underneath the seat. I would'nt mind so much but not had the buggy for a year even. Hope the guarantee covers the seat. Anyone else had this happen to them?? Apart from that incident things were great upto then
