  4. I've not been out kiting for 2 years now, and looking at my gear in storage was just plain silly. Plus with my 6 week old son, i'm not likely to get out again anytime soon. 6. I have a 16m Venom in perfect condition that i'm looking to sell. Comes complete and can be posted to QLD. I've also got a Venom 10m (flown once) and Phantom 12m, plus , landboard, etc. All equipment hardly used, mainly for testing for a kiting magazine. drop me a note if your interested
  7. 1) HQ Beamer III 2) Nirvana SE by R-Sky
  8. I use a North Defender bag when travelling overseas. Its marked on the outside as 'North Golf', and in the US as with a number of other countries, golf equipment doesn't attract a oversize luggage fee, like board bags do. Eg I flew Syd->LA->Miami->Bahamas, so thats 6 legs (broken up) that could have been $75 per leg with American Airlines. Bag paid for itself. Mine has worn slightly when i took it to the Maldives, as the dragged it on its side rather than the wheels. so not as hard wearing as i'd like for a airline travel bag. Room for my 2 Vemons, 142tt and harness, impact vest, helmet etc. I wouldn't use the external bar section on the flight legs but it is good when comming off the beach as it has a mesh section to let it dry out.
  9. Can someone txt me when they know the location. i'm up for it, but won't have internet access Friday.
  10. Mike, Why didn't you call me? I would have been up for a ride. Plus we need to get out with that board (its begging for a photoshoot). Anyone flying this weekend?
  11. Some times your just a little too close to the airport.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsXVU8ZFEeo

  13. Doesn't look like i'll get my spares in time for this weekend unfortunatly... but once i'm back up and running..
  14. I guess the big question is could a club be established and insurance approached prior to the NSW flyers reaching a critical mass. Even with the 6 flyers out on Sunday, its clear that without all of us having insurance we could face local bans. Whilst the ranger was happy with our 'not a powered vehicle' excuse in the UK we experienced bans on the fact that a buggy IS a powered vehicle. If when approached by authorities, we can explain that we all have 3rd party insurance, it will go along way in keeping people on our side, and understanding the risk mitigation steps we have taken. So some questions on insurance that need answering: 1. If a NSW club was formed would we use the same underwriter as GKC? 2. If we get insurance through GKC (in the interim) would it be transferable to this new entity? 3. Does the GKC insurance body provide cards (like British Buggy Club) that highlight the liabilities so that you can hand this to rangers et al. clearly showing the level of cover. 4. Do NSW councils have different required levels of cover $10mil, $20mil? No point getting insurance if its under what the grounds we plan to fly on may require? Just some thoughts based on my UK experiences, and some of the stories i heard about with Pk mag. Bryn 3.
  15. Winds looking pretty poor this morning, whats it looking like for Riverwood? Are we on?
