  11. An odd question I know - living so close to the beach and all that..............but I had a thought as I was driving home from altona today. There appears to be a big lake on the left as you drive back towards the westgate and it looks like it would be ok in northerlys. I was just wondering if anyone had every used it for kiteboarding OR is there any other lakes which you guys might use around melbourne. As an aside, I managed to buggy for a bit today, first time since sandy point and now I ache like hell and I think I should have started a little slower again......ah well its not worth living if you cant throw yourself around a field and hurt yourself now and again is it. 13. Hi all, So is it marker 40 on 13th beach tomorrow or marker 20?? I am a little confused. This is first opportunity to go kiting since new year due to health and work issues. I am really looking forward to it. 1st time on a landboard for over a year! Could someone also confrim the timing for low tide? Seeya soon.. Grog
  14. on closer inspection the list of damage is as follows :- 1. 600mm rip on last cell in the fabric (not on the seam) 2. 1 400mm rip on a seam in central cell along with blown cell 3. 100mm rip on 3rd from end cell 4. last 3 cells from one end blown out. 5 2 other rips on seams at far end. at least its not the 70% cells I originally thought.... I will get some piccies and send em to lach...... A new rule for me --- never ever go out with a hangover and bash your kite - it makes the hangover 5 times worse! Cheers all grog
  15. Hi all, After going to st kilda today and crashing my venom into the water it appears I have a few tears in the fabric.... Well, when I say a few, I proably mean 4 big surface rips and 70% of the internal cells blown out..A complete disaster! So, the question is, is it worth getting the thing repaired or not? especially with that sort of damage. If it is worth it, can anyone point me in the right direction of a good kite fixer? Cheers Grog
