  1. Sweet thanks guys, ordered
  2. Hey guys I have a really old stunt kite I want to get pumping again, haven't flown the thing in like 10 or 15 years lol... I have no lines for it, and looking through briskites etc I have no idea what to get It's your regular triangle stunt kite, wing span would be under 1.5m.. I seem to remember in really strong wind it could lift me off the ground but I was about 14 the last time I flew it Briskites have climax line sets for 18 bucks, they are 120lb do you reckon they would do? I don't want to spend a load of money (i'm backpackin ) and the next step up is 150lb prism lines for 50 bucks.... peace
  3. JKS - nah mate didn't make it, work sprung night shift for the weekend on me so I wound up sleeping the days away Ouch asphalt run ins? I have pads in the mail but they won't be here til next week.... could get interesting There's what looks like a ridercross track in the pics I've been able to find, is it any good? Southerly - there's some photos here http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=1 ... 1&v=photos but no idea how old they are.. I'll take some shots while i'm there EDIT after another look at the photos it looks like the down ramps are asphalt too?! ohhhh boy I can see myself getting caned...... lol
  4. Hey guys I'm heading to san remo extreme park wyong on sunday, it's not much of a kite place I dont think (no flatland from the pics ive seen) just wondering if anyone in the area wants to bring their boards down and have a shred on the tabletops and ridercross track? email me if you're keen dpower752@gmail.com or just rock up, I'll get there about 9 or so I reckon and probably be there for a few hours, I'm the guy with the MBS comp16 peace
  5. Hey guys I'm still gonna try to drop down for a look, where exactly are you guys going to be? I've never been to stockton beach (been in newie just over a month), so can someone hook me up with some directions? peace
  6. Hey guys thanks for the help, didn't win the auction, was willing to pay $350 for a Scrub Silver Reef 2 and a 4m Radsail Pro but it wound up at 400+, way more than I wanted to spend I was actually just looking for a mountainboard, but I got interested in kiting when I saw this one.. but I can always get a kite later if I want thanks again
  7. Thanks mick shot you a PM
  8. Thanks for the input guys I'll keep you posted
  9. I may be able to get my hands on a 4m Radsail fairly cheaply, I was wondering if this would be a decent kite to start learning with and also be big enough to start landboarding once I'm happy controlling it? It comes with handles and no harness, so I guess at some stage I would have to upgrade to a bar/harness combo to go boarding with? I've done plenty of searches and seen lots of recommendations for smaller kites, it's just that if I can get this one pretty cheap then I thought it might save me spending on a larger kite when I get tired of standing still.. But with a slightly bigger kite like this I'm guessing I'd be best starting off in looooow winds? EDIT: it is a radsail pro, the older orange/white one
  10. Somewhere between 500 and 1000fps I believe
  11. Hey guys, I'm real new here and just looking at getting into kiting.... But I've been doing snow seasons in Jindabyne for a few years now and my new interest in kiting just got me wondering, has anyone gone down to lake jindy? It's such a MASSIVE area although being a lake it's flat as so there's not much terrain, then again landboarding and snow kiting seems to be pretty much on flat terrain... but it's wetsuit material for sure as that lake gets daaaaaaaamn cold in winter lol If I do decide to take the plunge and get into this sport I'll definitely be taking whatever kite gear I've managed to get down to Jindy with me... I saw some guys shredding near tubetown at perisher last year and it looked like awesome fun!
  12. haha you're probably right, for the moment though I just want a cheap kite and board nothing flash, just something to play around on for a few months and if I'm really into it then I'll upgrade But yeah that's what I said when I started snowboarding, longboarding and riding luge.... and daaaamn I've spent some money there...
  13. Hey guys I'm thinking about buying a kite and landboard and I'm in newie so I'll cruise along and check y'all out, will keep my eye out for the maps... lookin forward to seeing what it's all about peace
  14. Sick mate thanks, I'll definitely have to get along. I wouldn't mind just having a crack at a kite without a board, maybe hop on a board if I'm feeling game lol but I'd be stoked just getting to chat to a few people who know what they're on about to give me an idea on what sort of gear would suit me, rather than wandering into a shop and having some salesman try to get me to spend thousands
  15. Rad I should get along for sure I work sunday to thursday nights so might be able to drop by all three days, saturday at least thanks mate
