i think he needs a change of underwear after that one!!
  7. damn he can hold his breath a long time lol, over a min with letting out that much air!! i am lucky if i get a miniute lol
  8. ^^^^^^ ay???? we did modula maths at our school, i took it last year at AS and the difference in complexity between GCSE and that was massive, i thoguht it was much harder, i admit the teacher we had wasnt the greatest, and the whole class came out with fails, but i still dont think it would have been to easy? Peter
  9. well all i will add is, dont think that sixth form is the same as the rest of the years, where, you learn in the lesson and dont really need to do anything outside, and you will pass with a good grade, i did this right up till GCSE and did good, i then tryed it at AS level, and it didnt work at all!!! i am now retaking mst of my subjects, but now have the understanding of the amount of work that is needed to be put into the subjects outside the lesson times!!! the frees are for studying and i no you do not need to use them all for this, but i would advise doing work in some of them just because otherwise most people will find it hard to keep up with the lessons otherwise! but all in all, have fun but work too, other wise you get to be lucky like me and have a yr 14 and another year stuck at home!! good luck all Peter
  10. Pro D is an arse, we got the 2006 version now which aint so bad, but when school had 200 it was a bloody night mare trying to do anything, glad you sorted it, but may be worth doing hte tutorials, they dnt take too long and youll learn all the basics and then more. Pete
  11. weaknes was one of the reasons i was thinking of taking away the supension, as i would prefer it to be a freestyle buggy, and strength issues are there, i am still unsure on whether to do it or not, but then if it didnt work as a freestyle buggy it could always just be used for pottering around a field a little bit more comfotably!! as for the weight, i did think about alloy, but then the strength issue is even more, so have stuck with steel, i dont think there should be any problem with the main part of the buggy as i can just copy a normal design, and the only bit i would really worry about is the rear axel!! the suspension idea i have is very simple really, and not far off the peter lyn one i have just found, maybe slightly chunkier! as for the crab buggy, i think it would be a great thing to try, but then the size of them i am not sure whether school would allow me because of the space need to store it throughout making it! i am hopefully gunna have some CAD pictures made up so would be able to show you all the idea for the rear suspension mechanism, i am back at school on tuesday so however long it takes to make them from then. has anyone got experience with the peter lyn rear suspension, as for strength extra weight??? i am not sure about the weight issue, because with the suspension, there wouldnt be a solid rear axel, so will save some to allow more added? as for the front wheel folding, i dont no about the strength issue, as im not sure exactly how it will fold, but then if it does break in use i can always lop it off, and wack a solid one on, but for the purpose of marks, i think i will go ahead with it, even if just until the end of the exams. Christian Wiggi quick release wheels?? i dont know how they are held on at the moment? is it just one central nut? if so do you mean somthing that just needs pushing and wheel is released? as there may be problems with unwated wheel release with this? thanks for all the help and i hope you dont mind being my test monekys:D i am happy with nay critisism as am still designing and therefore it is all very helpful, as im certain you all know more about the things than me!! also cheers for the offers of test pilots, and im pretty sure ill be taking some of those offers up! any other ideas of little things i can add that would be helpful, as i may need something if i decide against the suspension?? Steve(Bear) a tilting race buggy????? Cheers for all the help all, and keep all the points coming, and will get pictures done soon, maybe a simple one first and then the CAD of the rear or maybe whole buggy in a bit! Peter
  12. see that was my original idea, but would this work with a freestyle, i mean it would take some beatings i guess?? and where to put it i mean there aint much axcel on them? i will give it a go though i think, as that was the main idea to start off with and i was planning on copying popeyethewelders design, just shrinking to make sutaible for freestyle! any more suggestions? Peter
  13. alrite guys and gals! im gunna ask a favour in advance, over the course of next year i am planning on making a kite buggy for my A2 dt project. is there anything you guys would thinks is missing in current buggys??? im thinking im gunna make a freestyle buggy, but have allready decided it will fit in your average car boot, with folding front wheels and more than likely detachable rear wheels, anything else? not making it complicated, but maybe somthing that will make it unique? and maybe a wow factor on design point of view??? also once made, it will need testing, and as i am only just starting to fly, i dont think ill be good at buggying by then, so if theres some one that would be willing to test a buggy in about half a years time??? any help appreciated, and i will try and get to CC soon so you can all help me learn to fly:D Cheers Peter
  14. well my dad has had a few, so.... first i remember when i was wee was MG TC, was the soft top version but in black, as he used it as a taxi as one of his first jobs, http://www.bentleypublishers.com/images//features/mg.tc.1948.small.jpg then he butchered that one in a crash, and its still in the garage being repaired a hell of a long time later, so along came the MG A this is still in the garage, but is pas it i fear, as was left to rot, but a nice car i think http://www.schwadi.de/car/mg/mg.jpg then came the morris marina, brought back from america when the came, this one was actually sold off working!! http://www.philseed.com/images/mo-marina2-a.jpg then my dad gave that to my grandad, and got himself.. the granada a nice car, and this was left to rot, but was sold on to be restored a couple of years ago now http://www.minidome.nl/graphics/foto%27s%202003/plein%2010%20ford%20granada.jpg then came the marina again, as my grandad was unable to drive any more, and mother got the granada to drive us all around in, then we got a bedford midi, we kept this for a long time as a large family, http://www.nice-reg.co.uk/numberplates/numberplates/trj222-03.jpg then he got an old B reg honda accord, but cant find a pciture of it, and now he has a BMW 5 series, http://images.carsdirect.com/autonation/MWBADT43443G024194.jpg i think youll agree hes been around a bit, but then, i personally think that the MG TC is by far the best, and as soon as there is a gap in the garage, it will be mine to sort out i hope:D i dont think he agrees, but..... hope you liked hte rip into the past Pete
  15. as said, i would just clean with antiseptic ect, then just leave to dry out, then you should be good, but with grass burns u have to giv em a good cleaning
  16. yeh should be no probs. 40 gigs is massive, look at in comparison to your hard-drive, i mean u probs got bout 100 gig, so in 2 months u could nearly have downloaded the complete content of you computer! there should be no probs with 40 gig at all,
  17. yeh like said, most places wont take a card under a fiver, to costly processing to make it worthwhile.
  18. erm, well the ones i pictures above, you aint far off lol, thats the problem, the price ranges from about 700 - 1500 so not a bad guess!!! as for the nitros youre a bit better off after purchasing and can pick them up from 170 ish +.
  19. erm well the ones i posted are 2 stroke! i got a couple of nitros, but havent used them in years, the reliability of the 2 strokes just mean u get it out and put it away ready for next time, theres nothing ever going wrong which makes me !! erm the top one is a FG mardar, second a hormann ht1 and third a FG lep which is same as mine! i do like the nitros, they are a lot of fun, but just the reliability is a let down, if you havent tryed one of the largescales u should, but then im pretty sure youll be wanting one!! which just leads to more of you hard earned pounds fluttering away!! u should search out a vid of em, giv u an idea of the beasts, lol hope the sale of the lsp goes well, Pete
  20. hi, whats the soundtrack?? i never heard it before, but is pretty catchy? Cheers Peter
  21. but then like said, tethered is only so bad because you become part of the lines! throwing some one is alrite because as soon as u let go the power will be lost and decent starts. but attaching yourself into the lines and what not is just stupidity in my eyes, i mean just look at how short the rope was in that video and he wasnt that far off the ground, but that was one hell of a knoch when he hit it!!
  22. or theres one of these, this is one of my other hobbies, great fun, and do nicely filling time when theres not wind!! i havnt tryed helis yet, got a plane, but am hoping to try one soon, they lok so much more fun, just a little more complicated:D Peter http://www.nenevalleyraceway.co.uk/Gallery/albums/userpics/10011/normal_IMG_0026%257E4.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y105/evopower/Apr0447.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d97/BIGFEW/P1010269.jpg
