lickedysplit_au Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 Sydney Kiters - Daylight Savings is here!! What better way to finish a hard week at work than a fresh NE'er and a few beers. Thats right, NE-ENE winds are forcast friday afternoon into the evening so I for one am planning to make the most of it. Location as usual is open depending on who if anyone can make it. Should have our pick of most places on a Friday Arvo So chuck or Sickie or just don't come back from lunch because Friday is POETS day and there is kiting to be done. Quote
ScoobyRob Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 I would but my parents arrive friday morning and seeing as i haven't seen them in 6 months i spose i better be sociable with them;) Quote
lickedysplit_au Posted October 30, 2007 Author Report Posted October 30, 2007 Arriving Friday Morning - Jet Lagged and asleep by 4pm Let your poor parents rest Rob Does this mean your out for the whole W/E? Quote
rowdyblue Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 Not around this weekend - heading for Coffs Harbour tomorrow - can't get the damn buggy pieces in the car with the cot & stroller & all the other friggin' stuff we have to take! Have a good Friday / weekend Quote
sinbad Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 Grant get one of these. http://www.extremekites.com.au/gallery/members/sinbad/buggy+rack+002.jpg.html Quote
lickedysplit_au Posted October 31, 2007 Author Report Posted October 31, 2007 Looks good Terry, although park that unattended down at Riverwood for 5 minutes and you would find your buggy up on bricks. And probably without a seat too! Quote
robmueck Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 I am hanging to go flying. But where in a NE. Silverwater maybe. Quote
lickedysplit_au Posted October 31, 2007 Author Report Posted October 31, 2007 Silverwater would be pretty good in a NE'er - Closer for Luke to get to as well Quote
Luke Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 Not a chance I can make it friday, I have full day at work and editing photos from last weekends shoot on deadline. Woohooo, Troy 400 posts for your next one. I get my new manta early next week Quote
rowdyblue Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 Yeah Sinbad, that would definitely help. It's actually the wider axle that's the problem. It only has a limited number of ways it can go in the car, and they all cut through the available space. A shorter axle and I would have had no problems. Anyway, there's no wind here so it doesn't really matter. Quote
schmik Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 Not looking good for me for tomorrow. What about the weekend? What's doin? At the moment it looks like sat morning or sun arvo are the pick. mike Quote
lickedysplit_au Posted November 1, 2007 Author Report Posted November 1, 2007 What ever happened to the good ol "poets day" lost is another Aussie tradition...... Ahh well might keep it local tommorrow arvo and save some energy for the w/e, sorry Rob - You should head up the Hill, if the NE'er comes in it should be sweet up there. If you can't make it out hopefully see you over the weekend somewhere Where do you reakon Mick? Definately keen to hit the bumps again, we just need to go when there are few people around. Saturday arvo also has light NE forcast, hopefully there is a chance of that increasing to 13-18 (tommorrows forcast) wishfull thinking I know. Sunday looks like it could turn into a major gust fest but the wounds are nearly healed from last session so time to make some new ones I guess Luke - What day is looking good for you on the w/e? Quote
schmik Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 Lets make the call closer to the day, I don't trust the forecasts that far out. We've gotta hit those bumps in a NE. It comes through very clean at that location.... on a weekend the rangers will tell us us to piss off for sure. mike Quote
schmik Posted November 2, 2007 Report Posted November 2, 2007 Damn..... looking at the weather i might just be polishing my stick over the weekend. mike Quote
lickedysplit_au Posted November 2, 2007 Author Report Posted November 2, 2007 We have 10-12 from the North here at the moment, Sun is starting to break through. Not sure about the weekend but this arvo is still looking to be a possibility - Marty is here and keen as usual, just hoping there is enough sun to dry the ground enough . . . . Quote
